What a great book!
I read this book just two weeks before the American Mathematics Contests this year as a freshman. I had never heard of these contests, but reading this book gave me everything I need to know! With its help, I qualified for the AIME (though missed the USA math olympiad by 1 question!). If you are into math contests, trust me, this will significantly raise your score.

Not long ago my good friend John Naber sent me this book. I was very impressed with the quality and the insights each athlete had to offer humanity. John, being a high caliber human being and an Olympic champion, brought out points for us to follow in this daily journey called life. Please read this wonderful work. You'll be very glad you did..

An Extraordinary Tale of Redemption...
I've read a lot of books in my time, but this is the first review I've written. I believe this novel deserves my praise and your attention! It's about sports, it's about war, but most of all, it's about people. The characters are memorable. A week ago or so, I took a chance on an unknown author. With the Olympic games in full swing, I stumbled across this novel and decided to give it a ...

"This book is about a little boy named Percy Jackson, who is a half-blood -- part god (one of Triton's sons) and part human. In this Battle of the Labyrinth, Percy is trying to save the half-blood camp, where all of the little half-bloods go; from a boy named Luke, who has turned upon his own kind and sides with Kronos (Triton's father), who wants to destroy the camp. I think the book was a ...

My favorite novel - ever, no joke.
I have never been more influenced by any other book. I first encountered it many years ago. It went out of print in hardcover, but it is now available in paperback. My feelings and thoughts about this book are too involved to write here. Please contact me via e-mail to discuss this further -- I would be more than happy to do so. If anyone has any information regarding the author, please let ...

Back when railroads were king, a boy's first trip alone on a train was a big step to manhood: symbolic of great trust by parents, not only in the boy, but in the railroad. Those days are gone. Stan Johnson, however, relives his own first journey on the Milwaukee Road's crack passenger train, the Olympian, on its transcontinental journey from Chicago to Seattle. This book nicely combines Johnson's ...
