Corkscrews and Bottle Openers1 review
Evan Perry

Lubrecht & Cramer Ltd, 1980

Great info on corkscrews, not much on openers.
If you are looking for a short and concise book on corkscrews, this deserves a look. If, like me, you are looking for a book on bottle openers this is NOT the one.

This great book it full of rich history. Much will be learned of early baseball history such as rules and the evolution of the uniform. Angela Royston

Dorling Kindersley Publishers Ltd, 1992

Super!
This is a nice reference guide for all ages. I have a 4 year old who is VERY interested in nature and I bought this book to aid myself and her in identifying various birds that we run across. It is perfect for an adult as well as children. There are plenty of pictures that even a child who cannot read, can still understand.

This book contains 61 such tools. Pike and Solem write clear, concise directions for each opener or energizer. With very little effort, each can be adapted to different needs by changing questions. (Instead of ...

Diggers and Dump Trucks (Eye Openers)8 reviews
Angela Royston

Little Simon, 1991

For kids who can't get enough of construction trucks
My son received this as a Christmas gift when he was little over a year old. It has been one of the few books that he wants read to him time and time again. The pictures are realistic enough for a toddler to identify them and the wording brief enough to hold a toddler's attention span. The only drawback is the book is not a board book so some care must be given to survive ownership by a ...

Trucks (Eye Openers)1 review
Angela Royston

Little Simon, 1991

Great book!
The Eye-Openers books are terrific, and this one is no exception. My two-year old son is crazy about trucks and construction vehicles, and this book is right up his alley. The pictures are terrific! Each page displays a different truck and labels the different parts of the truck as well. Consequently, I know more about trucks than I ever imagined that I would, and my son can spot an air ...

Openers for ancient history classes1 review
J. Weston Walch

J. Weston Walch, 1993

Great complement to 6th grade S.S. curriculum in Calif.
This book is very useful as a transition to the subject of social studies in a self-contained classroom. Some of the openers are questions (both open-ended and multiple choice), and some of them are anecdotes or stories. All are designed to peak student interest in what is sometimes perceived as a dry subject. The openers cover the study of history itself, early humans, the fertile crescent, ...

Lati Rinbochay

Gabriel/Snow Lion, 1980

Profound Ideas of the Mind and Its Functions
This is a extraordinary book of ideas of the mind. To grasp the meanings you will find it necessary to read (even more than twice) the various parts of the book. You will no doubt find the ideas different from Western writers of the mind, which sets this book apart from the many books about the mind. A very intriguing book. Anybody who is interested in the mind and its functions from the ...

Revelations New Beginnings
Author and reflexologist Pat Katakio writes in the introduction of her marvelous new book, Revelations New Beginnings, "Traditional religion never made sense to me as a child. On one hand we were told in church to love God. On the other hand, we were told that we were all sinners, and that if we weren't good, we would burn in hell forever." Fortunately, at age 23, Pat began to experience ...
