If you are a teacher, Get it!
I found this book when I was getting my teaching certification, and wanted to teach a 4th grade class on "Voice" or point of view. It was the basis for a great lesson! I think this could be appropriate for students in 3rd grade up to a basic high school English class. The same event (a trip to the park) is told by 4 distinctly different characters who all encounter each other in the park. So ...

Excellent
This was a great purchase. My son and I read a couple of chapters every night from one of the books. He loves the challenge and the funny things Junie B does. He also likes how he can relate to some of the situations. Great book! Brings back childhood memories of Ramona books when I was a child.

Outstanding Guide Book
As the writer of Walt Disney WorldŽ with Disabilities I wanted to show my support for this fantastic guide book. I have to agree with every last thing Julie Neal, author of The Complete Walt Disney World said in her review. I also wanted to share some of the other things we love about this book. As Julie pointed out, some may think that our book is in competition with the Unofficial Guide ...

Clear and accessible; Important argument
This is a wonderful book for those interested in American politics and elections. While drawing heavily on the existing research in political science and advancing that research in significant ways, the book is written for a general audience. I found it refreshingly clear without dumbing down the material. I decided to use the book in my introductory level political science class this semester ...

Great!
We went on a 2 week road trip across the country and used this book to look up national parks in the areas we were traveling to. It was fantastic! It has great graphics and overviews of hiking trails and what there is to do in the parks. It also includes phone numbers of campsites and hotels within the park (which comes in very useful when you are going to a lot of parks!). It was a great asset ...

Grand Read about the Grand Canyon
I admit it. I cannot put down a good book about stupid people making bad decisions in a spectacular, and spectacularly dangerous, place. There are a lot of short stories in here about how things went really, really bad for people who were unprepared, stupid, didn't know what they were getting into, or were just pure unlucky. I saw the book in Flagstaff the day before I started a week long ...

Enjoyable and Informative
I ordered this book in a fit of enthusiasm after my first return visit to Disneyland as an adult (the enthusiasm persists, incidentally.) I was looking for something to fill me in on the history of the Magic Kingdom and satisfy grown-up curiosity about things I didn't think all that much about when I was a kid. This book was exactly what I was looking for: there's a wonderful lot of ...

A Dark, Exciting, and Engaging Techno-Thriller!
I saw the film JURASSIC PARK and loved it (who didn't?). Steven Spielberg had once again proved his genious. Later, I decided to read the book by Michael Crichton. I loved it just as much, if not more, than the film. It was my first Crichton book, and I was very impressed by his talent of weaving science and probability in his mile-a-minute plot lines. The movie plot closely followed that of ...

Not just desert love
Sure, this book may speak strongly for the respect and preservation of the desert southwest, and for that, it deserves proper credit. But for me, it has had a much deeper impact. This is a lot more than just an argument that we should protect our wilderness, although it is easily that. Rather, I found it to be a profound guide on how to think and act in general, about pretty much everything, ...

Building the magic
In my work I'm at Walt Disney World every week, and the more I research it the more impressed I am. It is a place of boundless imagination. After Walt Disney's original vision, the bulk of the creative work has been in the capable hands of the Disney Imagineers. This book profiles 30 of these Disney artists and engineers. Although you could argue about the list (I'd love to see Mary Blair, but ...
