Essential book
The word is that people fear public speaking more than they fear dying, so this book is for any of those people. These tips help get anyone ready to not only get over their fear of speaking, but to command audiences. There are excellent tips for giving a presentation and using PowerPoint. Being able to master these two can give anyone a one-two knock out punch for public speaking.

Must have for medical students
Although the expectations for medical students are not that of residents and interns, this book is very helpful. Evidence-based medicine is the term heard over and over on the wards and this pocket book will help with that. When presenting a patient, you may be asked which study showed the effectiveness of which treatment. This book has it. It is updated with references as recent as 2007 ...

Great Tool for Your Writing
I am excited to use the MLA tools in this pocket guide for writing my college papers. There is so much in this little book, and was worth ever cent of my purchase. There are lots of little things that students forget like noun/verb agreement, and possession. It is very helpful, and every student should have this!

Excellent resource
Amazingly enough, I don't know Dr. Rampolla, but that won't stop me from adding my praise for this little gem of a book. Clearly and concisely written, this slim guide covers the important aspects of the study of history. From evaluating sources to documenting the sources you've found, it's a marvelous little tool for students. Don't leave home for your next history class without this book.

T. Kennedy ADN nursing student
Hello, I recommend this book to anyone going into nursing. It has helped me and many of my colleagues in writing our care plans/care maps. It really helps to get you started by giving you different ideas to work with such as objective and subjective data, actions/interventions, desired outcomes/evaluations. I can't really say enough about this book and don't know what I'd do without it.

Great handheld reference for nursing students!
I use this handheld book for quick references at clinicals and in class. It has great color illustrations and is very easy to read. The full sized text was assigned in my assessment class so I went ahead and bought the handheld. I would reccomend it to any nursing student. It covers everything, and at the end it has a full scale assessment in detail that I found very helpful on my final grade ...

This you just MUST have and we all know it. For FUN, look up, in the first few pages --'abbreviations'. You will see that K stands for excreted thru the kidneys, L for liver excretion and L and O= liver and onions. Just love that. some years have it and some don't, but I just love to ASK med students/residents what L and O excretion IS and watch the FUN. Have fun. BUY it. You need all this handy ...

great anthology
This is a great anthology. The best you are going to find unless you go with one of the giant anthologies. This one is cheaper and definitely less heavy than, lets say Norton's anthology. And because it is a 'pocket anthology' it cuts out the weaker poems making this a strong group of poems.

I find this "Pocket" guide to the O.R. very useful for both my operating room nurses and myself. All the parenting info you need
I love this book so much, I got rid of most of my other parenting books and just use this one. The cool thing about it is it's indexed so that the main things you need to get advice on are easy to find as problems/challenges happen. Potty training? Flip through the book and find the header and there you are. Hitting. Sleep. Easy and fast.

A Small Gem
The Pocket Dictionary of Theological Terms is a small, slim (122 pages) book which typically devotes five or six lines each to theological terms, major theologians, and theological movements and traditions. It need hardly be said that a book which tries to squeeze a world of theology into a mere 122 pages will have its limitations. Nonetheless, it is surprisingly comprehensive, and ...

Excellent Quick Reference for Lean Six Sigma Tools
I teach Lean Six Sigma and have used this book for the Black Belt certification course. It has just the right amount of detail to serve exactly as the title suggests. It's not a beginner's how-to book - think of it as the condensed version of your LSS course, for when you know there's a tool for something you want to do, but can't quite remember the details. Or, when you think you remember but ...
