The Bogleheads' Guide to Investing 48 reviews Taylor Larimore, Mel Lindauer, ...
Wiley, 2006
Should be required reading for all investors Of all the books I've read on investing (and there've been many), none were as straight-forward and enjoyable as this one. It's an excellent book for new investors, longtime investors who want to invest with more confidence, and young adults just heading out into the world. I wish I'd had been given the advice in this book years ago.

the best of its genre The title of the book really says it all. God created us and gave us specific instructions on what to eat. We would be wise to follow them. I've given copies of this book to my whole family.

The Neatest Little Guide to Stock Market Investing 191 reviews Jason Kelly
Plume, 2007
So much Great Info Packed into a little Book I just finished reading this book for the second time and I can't say enough about it. It walks you through systematically from having no investing knowledge to a solid foundation built on a structured plan of action based on research, not emotion.
Jason takes advice from the masters of investing and ties it into a very workable strategy.
Get this book, you won't be dissappointed.

THE Spirit's Book: The Principles of Spiritist Doctrine 28 reviews Allan Kardec
Brotherhood of Life, 1989
Right book, wrong version Amazon, are you listening? I originally read this book in French and really loved it. It is a wonderful book for those searching for the meaning of life, spiritual truth etc...and is a very serious, credible work by someone whose main line of work was scientific study and medicine, Allan Kardec.
I was so thrilled that I ordered copies in English for friends and was disappointed to find out ...

PowerPrinciples word of caution! Read only with a highlighting marker. Who said it takes a three pound novel to get you what you need? Read Jeb's new book! You will quickly discover this book is not written by a consultant or researcher with book knowledge but by someone that has been there and done it successfully.
The book does away with the fluff and is perfect for busy salespeople and sales managers not interested in wading through a swamp of hard to read ...

Principles of Macroeconomics 27 reviews N. Gregory Mankiw
Harcourt College Pub, 1999
The best intermediate macro book As an instructor of introductory macroeconomics, I often rue the fact that we do not utilize this textbook. I borrow material from it INCESSANTLY and without shame. It presents the "Keynesian" viewpoint on macroeconomics in an extraordinarily clear and interesting fashion. Frankly, I consider the introductory (read literally - first semester macro books) texts to be a waste of time. There is ...

Constitutional Law Principles and Policies (Introduction to Law Series) 41 reviews Erwin Chemerinsky
Aspen Law & Business Publishers, 1997
the bible for con-law If anyone is taking Constitutional Law and is using the Chemerinsky case book, this treatise is a MUST have. You can actually get along the semester perfectly without the big case book and just reading this treatise. It explains things way better than the big book. Unless you need to know the cases straight from the language in the case book, this is just enough to do very well in this class.

Agile Software Development, Principles, Patterns, and Practices (Alan Apt Series) 31 reviews Robert C. Martin
Prentice Hall, 2002
Very deserving in it's own right. After reading this text, I feel it deserves the attention of other great texts such as Design patterns and Refactoring, even though much of it's content expounds upon the ideas of these two classics. It's my opinion that this text has two strong points: it explains the ideas and details of agile development very clearly, and it does an excellent job of explaining the most popular patterns ...

Secrets about Life Every Woman Should Know : Ten Principles for Total Emotional and Spiritual Fulfillment 30 reviews Barbara De Angelis
Hyperion, 2000
Had it for 6 years, just read it - You know that saying "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear?" Well, Barbara had been here for some time and whenever I cleared out the old or "never going to read" books, she held on. Now that I needed her, she kind of called out to me from the bookshelf. I read the book in one sitting. I cried, I laughed, I found clarity and I am so thankful. This book can be lifechanging and she'll ...

Not just for the top execs I guess I'm one of the fortunate ones. I had the opportunity to work with Tom and Gus for a few years back when they first birthed Systems Consulting Group. I spent quite a bit of time with Gus and noticed from day one that he had an uncanny way with people. So I paid close attention and began to soak up all I could. I'm not wired like Gus is motivationally, nor am I gifted with his charismatic ...
