This is my favorite Bird book for Texas. I have several and love the way this one is organized by color of bird. It has beautiful pictures and is very easy to find a bird. I have bought a couple for gifts because everyone who sees mine wants one. I highly recommend it.

Perfect quick reference book
So easy for a non-birding expert to use. The book is well organized, portable, and has great photos. The birds are organized by color, which was a really sensible approach. This is the best birding book I own for identifying GA birds.

Best bird book around, perfect for beginners
This book is fantastic for new bird watchers. I have a copy in my house, one in my car and have given several as gifts! The book is organized by the color of the bird so you don't have to guess where to start. Find a bird, if it has color on it turn to the appropriate pages and identify your bird. Most of the common birds are featured and the pictures are great!
