Baron Baptiste

Barefoot Books, 2004

My kid was glued to the book
I am a preschool yoga teacher and I have seen a few books, but this one is fabulous! My own 3 year old was glued to the book and after reading it she said "again". I definitely plan on using this book when I teach as a little story time. It also gives you step by step instructions on how to do the poses for any beginners. LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!

We All Went On Safari12 reviews
Laurie Krebs

Barefoot Books, 2004

A beautiful book!
Our whole family loves this book. My son, now 3, learned to count to ten in English by reading this at bedtime almost every night. We are just now starting to read the Swahili words too. The information, spellings of the Swahili words and their pronounciations, even the names of the children are all accurate (I speak Swahili to moderate fluency). One note... Most Maasai do not even speak ...

Story of Divaali4 reviews
Verma Jatinder

Barefoot Books, 2007

The Story of Divaali
The pages of this book are beautified with the carefully planed placement of illustrations, similar to efforts put forth in the preparation of the Divaali family festival. This book offers those who don't practice Divaali a detailed understanding to the importance of this celebration and it similarities to the Christian celebration of Christmas.

not just for the little ones
We brought our two adopted daughters back to Jiande orphanage as preteens in 2006 and addressed the birthmom question not for the first time ... we had relied on the "Choco" book and other fables available in the mid-90s when we first had these discussions of the "tummy Mom" and the "real Mom." Too bad this book had not been available then. However, it is such a graphically beautiful book and ...

An excellent book/CD, highly recommended !
I first saw this book in the local library, borrowed it and was so impressed with it that I immediately ordered a copy from Amazon.com. I have almost used it to death since at school. Barefoot Books, 2007

A fabulous addition to your library - classroom or home.
I bought this book on an impulse, simply based on the brightly colored illustrations and a brief refrain that that appears when you look inside the book. I couldn't be more delighted with this purchase. The book is a wonderful addition to my fairy tale library and my kindergarten kids absolutely LOVE listening to and participating in the retelling of the story, especially the rhyming ...

The Adventures of Odysseus2 reviews
Hugh Lupton; Daniel Morden

Barefoot Books, 2006

Delightful!
My 6-year-old son loved having this read to him, and I loved reading it. Hugh Lupton has beautifully condensed the adventures of Odysseus into a fun and entertaining narrative, without making the story feel dumbed-down. The illustrations were lovely and suited the text very well. My son will enjoy reading this for years. Highly recommended.

So much fun
This is a great interactive book. I work at a Pre-school for special needs students and we have music every Friday we use this book and the children love it. One of our teachers uses it in her class on a regualr basis. What a fun way to get the children involved and recognizing different vehicles and the sounds they make.
