Finally - a grammar book written for the rest of us!
I am always trying to ensure my grammar is correct (a habit I picked up from my father.) I've not been able to find a book that explains common grammar problems in a way I would remember. This one is easy to use and I will always keep it with my dictionary and other reference books.

Great Tool
I rate this book high, because I found it to be a refreshing change from the cookie-cutter "Color Me Beautiful" formula. It's not only fun, but accurate!!!! So, if you're sick and tired of someone demanding that you're a "Winter" and better not color your hair red -- but you LOVE being a redhead - this book is for you. Not only does it show you how to look your best through color, but teaches ...

As a web developer I spend most of my day writing code and worrying about the code working on all browsers, etc. Up until recently I had no desire to learn about color and the feelings behind it. If you are in a similar situation look no more. This book has made a permanent position on my desk and will continue to help me with the design and development of my future projects. Hats off to the ...

This book is amazing!
I've tried it all. Self-help books, Hypnosis, Yoga, breathing exercises, voice lessons, public speaking workshops, Toastmasters... nothing ever worked, and I never understood why. Finally, I took Natalie Rogers' weekend workshop on Public Speaking, and at last I understood. Public Speaking isn't like other phobias out there, like a Fear of Flying or a Fear of Heights. Conquering Public ...

No-nonsense career advice, dispensed with anecdotes from the author's own life to make for friendly reading. Unlike preachy self-help books that end up sitting unread on the shelf, this book invites repeat visits and is set up so that you can dip into chapters in whichever order appeals to you.

One of the better books on Direct Marketing
This is one of the better books on Direct Marketing written with the Real Estate Agent in mind. What I reallty liked about it is that, for once, a book for Real Estate Agents where the author offered out of the box ideas adopted from different successful Direct Marketing strategies. What you will learn from this book is the importance of content, not just sending "New Listing" and "just ...

Good Reference on tea entertainment
I find this book very useful and informative. The author presents the material in a concise and down to earth manner. The etiquette portion of this book contains do's and do not's that leaves no questions. The tone of the book is conversational just like the topic it explains. If you are thinking about having a tea party for the first time or attending to one, this book is a must read!

Delicious new cookbook
Nosthimia! is excellent. The recipes are easy to make yet delicious, just like the recipes that Georgia makes on her tv show. Unlike many other cookbooks, the ingredients can be easily found in almost any local supermarket. I was happily surprised that I didn't have to make a trip to a specialty market. I made several of the recipes for a dinner party including the feta cheese triangles and ...

great for book clubs or just book fans!
I belong to several book groups and have purchased a copy of this book for each of them! It is fun, interesting, easy to read and the recipes are a fun addition. Loved the suggested readings, the question lists for books, and the colorful book quotes that are scattered throughout the recipes and text. Plus the nice use of color and little icons keeps the readers attention.

Yes, I am a cruise addict!!!
"Cruise Crazy" was recommended to me by a passenger on my latest cruise as an entertaining way to help me get over the post-cruise blues and to help figure out just how cruise addicted I am. It was a fast and funny read and I don't know how many times I thought - how does Dr. Nutty know me?? I tried several of his suggestions and they really helped me out. Diane's Voice Carries Better Than Her Pen
Believe me, I am a devoted fan of Diane Rehm's. She is the most articulate, knowledgable, talented talk show host in the country. Thus I was disappointed by her autobiography. Of course, because her outstanding talent is interviewing, I guess I can't expect her to be a brilliant writer as well. I thought she harped on her sad childhood too much. Over and over again she blames her mother--and ...

A truly informative and helpful book
This is a great book! Being a young, modern and relatively "hip" married woman (one who now co-ownes a business with her husband), I decided it was time to educate myself about all the legal stuff I'd been ignoring for years. I was especially intrigued by the author's approach to the legal aspects of marriage/children, property and taxes. These were topics I would not typically view in a ...
