I Love You Stinky Face 66 reviews Lisa Mccourt
Cartwheel, 2004
I Love YOU Stinky Face! I just love reading this book to my grand child. It is a great introduction to unconditional love. This book should be on every bookshelf! All of us have times when we wonder if we are loved. It would do us well to remind children, starting at a very young age, just how special they are to us. I Love You Stinky Face

Smelly Socks 8 reviews Robert Munsch
Cartwheel, 2005
Loved Smelly Socks My family has always loved Robert Munsch's book " I Have to Go". My 4yr old liked to read it so much he brought it into the bath with him. Needless to say we had to replace it and that is when I saw all the other stories that Robert has. I bought several of his books and I have to say that "Smelly Socks" is one of our favorites. I think my son asked me to read it everynight for 1 week straight!!!!

I Spy Treasure Hunt (I Spy) 27 reviews Jean Marzollo, Walter Wick
Cartwheel, 1999
Great book, Wrong Age Range I think the I Spy Series is Wonderful and Treasure Hunt has great pictures. My only negative is that the age range listed in Amazon is wrong, and even the 4-8 age range usually listed for this book should be a little higher, like 6-8. I have to admit that I have a hard time finding the pictures, so my 4 year old gets frustrated with this one.
I think the Picture Riddles is a great one for ...

What Is That? Said The Cat (level 1) (Hello Reader) 5 reviews Grace Maccarone
Cartwheel, 1998
"what is That?" Said the Cat This is one of my 6 yr old son's favorite books. It's an easy read. If you have a beginner reader this is a great book. One or two sentences per page sometimes just a word, great pictures and funny ending. Best of all my son can read it on his own and finds it funny every time it's read. In our family we give it five stars. Hope this helps.

The Real Mother Goose 35 reviews
Cartwheel, 1994
. This book is an absolute necessity for anyone who is around children or, even moreso, a child at heart. The nursery rhymes of Mother Goose are classic and enduring, and this collection, with its vivid illustrations, bring to life so many familiar and wonderfully non-familiar poems.

First Grade Friends: Recess Mess (Hello Reader, Level 1) (Hello Reader) 3 reviews Grace Maccarone
Cartwheel, 1996
Easy to read book about school events. This is good book for emerging readers. A lot of the simple words are repeated, making it easier for kids who are learning to read. Rhyming text also helps early readers. Most of the pages have just one or two sentences, but the last few pages suddenly have more text. It can be a bit discouraging for kids who were doing great reading on their own to suddenly have more trouble on the last ...

The Meanest Thing To Say: A Little Bill Book for Beginning Readers, Level 3 (Oprah's Book Club) 13 reviews Bill Cosby
Cartwheel, 1997
Cosby tells "stories about situations children often face." The Meanest Thing To Say is not about saying mean things back to mean people. And it isn't even about mean people. What it IS about is children learning self-control, level-headedness and heart. When the new kid, Michael, calls Little Bill names, and says he has to think of the meanest things to say back the next day, Bill is frustrated and anxious. This comes up at home and his dad tells him ...

Baby Faces Board Book #02: Smile! (Baby Faces) 8 reviews
Cartwheel, 1997
Great purchase This is a great, well made, and well thought out book for babies and toddlers. The language used with the photographs doesn't trash the English language trying to make cutesy rhymes. The photographs are fun and well done. Any in this series are great. My child loves them.

Super Fly Guy 6 reviews
Cartwheel Books, 2006
Great for starting to read! My six year old son loved this book. He doesn't particularily like to read and the stories are usually rather dull for this level. He read the whole book himself and I didn't have to prod him to keep reading. We were laughing through the whole story.

There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed Fly Guy 6 reviews Tedd Arnold
Cartwheel Books, 2007
Great early reader! It's tough to find books at my son's reading level that excite him. The fly guy books always fit the bill. With silly boy humor and a well laid out text for early readers I recomend these books to all of his friend's parents.

I Spy A School Bus (Scholastic Readers) 3 reviews Jean Marzollo
Cartwheel, 2003
Engaging and Fun The photography in the book is amazing. Every picture is eye-catching and fun to search through because of all the cool little objects. My three-year old has become obsessed with this book; the utter delight on his face when he finally found the objects and the pride he takes in now being able to pick them out quickly are absolutely adorable! Some of the little figures are also reused in the ...

Cartwheel, 1993
fun to read book This is the one book my daugther(2) wants me to read to her every night. She loves silly books and this book has silly monkeys and is written rhythmically. Good to read to little ones because it has few words and you can read them out loud before they turns the page!
