The Case of the Silk King (Choose Your Own Adventure #14) 1 review R. A. Montgomery
Chooseco, 2006
Sheer fascination The series certainly has gone downhill since the glory days. "The Case of the Silk King" is among the best CYOA ever produced. I don't know if Shannon Gilligan ever wrote another CYOA book, but this one rivals Edward Packard. It loosely takes the real-life story of Jim Thompson, an American silk magnate who disappeared in Thailand, and has the reader pretend to be a young detective asked ...

Race Forever (Choose Your Own Adventure #7) 1 review R. A. Montgomery
Chooseco, 2006
Lil ''T''S Review I Think The book is cool. The first adventure is if you wan't to start the speed race first or if you wan't to start the easy one first.I cosed the easy one first cause to let my car warm up for the speed race, like it was real.It told you to go to P.70.Then it told you if you wan't the ''Nissa'' or a truke.I cosed The ''Nissa''.And after that I won two races comeing in first place. It's awsume.I ...

The Haunted House (Choose Your Own Adventure: Dragonlark) (Choose Your Own Adventure) 2 reviews R. A. Montgomery
Chooseco, 2007
The Gift of Independence In a world where children have so little autonomy, my children found delight as they were given the choice to create their own adventure. To any parent who regularly encourages reading - this is a winner on so many levels, including being fun for the parent. Who wouldn't want to relive this great concept with their children. Fun! Fun! Fun!

Mystery of the Maya/House of Danger/Race Forever/Escape (Choose Your Own Adventure 5-8) 2 reviews R. A. Montgomery
Chooseco, 2006
Another great set! If you have bought box set one, its time for this box set. If this is your
first box set, that's fine, because , despite the numbers, there is no
order. Books 5-8 are another trip into the choose your own adventure world
full of danger & excitement, victory & defeat, and most of all choices.
Kids will devour these books. Its not the Art, which is excellent. Its not
the Writing, which is Fun ...

Mystery of the Maya (Choose Your Own Adventure, No. 5) 1 review R. A. Montgomery
Chooseco, 2006
Mysterious and Interesting I would reccomend this entire series, and especially this book. The cover really jumped out at me. Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. Any young reader would enjoy this book. You travel back to the time of the Mayans to find your friend Tom. You end up with a whole lot more on your hands than just your friend's disappearance. You run into aliens, Mayans, and a whole bunch of ...

Lost on the Amazon/Prisoner of the Ant People/Trouble on Planet Earth/War with the Evil Power Master (Choose ... 1 review R. A. Montgomery
Chooseco, 2006
Good Choice for kids! After this box set its only individual books. I'm not sure why there are
no boxes for books 13+, but books 9-12 are here and ready to take their
young readers as far as the furthest corners of the galaxy! What makes
this collection so great is the choices it gives kids. Like the two
previous, all the books have fun art and good writing, but it's the
choices that sell this series. Set a stack ...

The Myster of Ura Senke (Choose Your Own Adventure #13) 1 review Shannon Gilligan
Chooseco, 2006
Japanese Mystery I am a big fan of the Choose Your Own Adventure series, so I was thrilled when I found out they were being released again. The whole series is great, especially for kids who find reading to be boring. The Mystery of Ura Senke is one of my favorites! This one was written by Shannon Gilligan, wife of R.A. Montgomery who writes most of the books. Shannon definitely brings a different feel to the ...

Escape (Choose Your Own Adventure #8) 2 reviews R. A. Montgomery
Chooseco, 2006
Totalitarian Freedom Forever A cold war era vision of a future where the United States disintigrates into smaller regions, where one specifically in the west (called Dorado) falls into totalitarianism (!) complete with a stylized triangle shaped pinwheel symbol that implies a swastika. The reader is part of a rogue resistance group, whose over goal is to undermine the neofascist regime but more immediately - to escape (and ...

Project UFO (Choose Your Own Adventure: Classic #27) (Choose Your Own Adventure) 2 reviews Anson Montgomery
Chooseco, 2008
Excellent realpolitik from the master of the non-sequitur An unusually coherent tale from the endearingly wacky R. A. "Anson" Montgomery. The fate of the Earth team visiting breakaway colony Luna is actually involving. I still lament the cancellation of the CYOA series.

House Of Danger (Choose Your Own Adventure) (Choose Your Own Adventure) 4 reviews R. A. Montgomery
Chooseco, 2007
Read this book This book is crazy. You are a young detective, solving crimes. The story begins with a mysterious phone call for help. You end up following clues to the old site of a prison. That is where the real adventure begins. There are talking chimpanzees, a professor, genetically altered plants, aliens, explosions, and all sorts of advanced technology! Each turn of the page brings a new scene with ...

The Abominable Snowman (Choose Your Own Adventure) (Choose Your Own Adventure) 4 reviews R. A. Montgomery
Chooseco, 2007
RL 4 - 11, Excellent Book- Self Motivation for Reading The Choose Your Own Adventure series is excellent to motivate your children and students to read. The book lets you make your own choices and find out what happens to your character. Kind of like a video game in a book. This particular one The Abominable Snowman is one of RA Montgomery's best and will be lauched on DVD in August of 2006. Imagine being able to make your own choices on DVD and in a ...

Prisoner Of The Ant People (Choose Your Own Adventure) (Choose Your Own Adventure) 2 reviews R. A. Montgomery
Chooseco, 2007
Prisoner of the Ant People The first time I read this book I was twelve and Ronald Regan was president. Since that time I have probably read this book more than 100 times. In the 90's all of my college roommates read the book and today it brings me great pleasure to read along with my six year old. This is one of those rare books that you can pick up every 10 years and it still brings the same level of enjoyment as the ...

The Brilliant Dr. Wogan (Choose Your Own Adventure) (Choose Your Own Adventure) 1 review R. A. Montgomery
Chooseco, 2007
Who can you trust? This book, and probably all the newer editions of the CYOA series has nice comprehension quizzes for readers like me who have read all the endings. Also, the people quoted are different. There are readers in the front no the inside quoted, but there are 26-29 year olds quoted who miss this part of their childhood me included! It is like that little secret that you like but you do not want to ...

The Abominable Snowman/Journey Under the Sea/Space and Beyond/The Lost Jewels of Nabooti/Mystery of the ... 7 reviews R. A. Montgomery
Chooseco, 2006
My 9-year-old LOVES these We bought these books for our son because we remembered how much we loved them at his age. They are much quicker reads than I remember, but he loves them, so they get 5 stars. One book takes him less than 45 minutes to get through. He hasn't gotten to the stage where he goes back and makes different choices yet, but I'm sure he'll become even more fond of them then.

Chooseco, 2006
Start here! If you are new to choose your own adventure, I recommend starting with
these 4. They are the first in the new series, and are all individual
books. I am pretty sure they are all reprints, and the art is definitely
new, but they are a great place to start as they cover a wide range of
topics. The bottom line is kids will eat these books up, not just because
they are about great topics, with ...

Your Very Own Robot (Choose Your Own Adventure - Dragonlarks) (Choose Your Own Adventure) 6 reviews R. A. Montgomery
Chooseco, 2007
Pure Magic I was so excited to see that the Choose Your Own Adventure company had created a series of books targeted for younger readers. My seven year old son was captivated by the idea that he could have a hand in guiding a story about having his very own robot. The color pictures were engaging, and the story lines kept my son reading over and over. Well done!!!
