Love this book!
The pictures and story are fun and informative. My elementary students love it. Use this book with the video, "Tessellations: How to Create Them" for real success in the classroom. My students can make rotations and reflections with ease. This is something they have never been able to achieve in the past. If you are a classroom teacher, I recommend buying the book.

Drawing and Painting Activities
I have only just begun to teach children from the age of 6 and up, so I am always looking for useful information and, more importantly, step-by-step instructions for them to follow. While this book isn't a step-by-step book, it does give a good overview of projects in a variety of mediums and that is certainly a great resource for me. It is a book that I will pull off the shelf time and again to ...

Introduces young readers to memorable artistic treasures
Pamela Geiger Stephens' Dropping In On Rousseau is an enjoyable and rather elegant picture book that blends the famous Rousseau's classic artworks with simple and engaging color illustrations by Jim McNeill. A bumbling Puffer flies into early twentieth-century Paris to meet the self-trained artist Rousseau, in this cleverly written and presented book that introduces young readers to memorable ...

Good Introduction to Cave Art
I purchased this book last year and read it to my Kindergarten students when we were learning about cave art (I teach elementary art). They enjoyed the story and it gave them a good introduction to cave art. Today I was browsing on this site and happened to click on this page to see if anyone had reviewed this book. When I read the editorial review, I was puzzled. It seems as if the reviewer ...

If You Work With Or Have Kids-Get This Book!
I teach art classes to groups of children who are preschool-age, K-5, and 5-8. I have used several of the projects from this book and everyone has loved them, including the parents of the children, the classroom teachers, and program coordinators with whom I've worked. Photos in the book are very helpful and the directions are percise. I have been able to tailor them to fit into short meetings or ...

A child's exposure to great art can be an adventure!
Young boys and girls will find this day of adventure in an Art museum a visual delight! The children I read it to (I'm a school Media Specialist) were enthralled and their enthusiam generated curiosity about the artists. They checked out other art books. The Art teacher has her own copy for her young child and she loves it! I highly recommend MOLLY MEETS MONA AND FRIENDS for the young reader. ...
