Utah Atlas & Gazetteer (6th Edition) 12 reviews DeLorme
DeLorme Publishing
great atlas, but find the new 2008 ed. to buy As already stated by the other reviewers, the DeLorme atlas & gazetteer is fantastic. I love the many points-of-interest features which other map products lack.
But if you're going to buy one, don't get this 2005 edition, go find the 2008 edition (such as on DeLorme's website). In addition to the road updates, the new one has GPS coordinates and more topographical info. I'm a little ...

California Atlas & Gazetteer (Delorme Atlas & Gazetteer Series) 5 reviews DeLorme
DeLorme Publishing, 2008
Great road trip companion - with one modification I was recently the navigator on a 10 day California coast road trip. I ordered the Delorme Atlas to serve as a back-up to my Nuvi GPS. The map is certainly is the better way for looking ahead for rest areas. Half way through the trip, the binding cracked and pages began to fall out. Not good when driving in a convertible with the top down! So I stopped at a Kinko's Copy Center and they ...

Arizona Atlas & Gazetteer 20 reviews Delorme
DeLorme Publishing, 2004
A State with Wide Open Spaces... The DeLorme Arizona Atlas and Gazetteer is an excellent resource for trip planning. Arizona is a deceptively big state with lots of wide open spaces and some specially rugged terrain, including the Grand Canyon. This atlas should allow the average traveler to navigate pretty much anywhere on the road network, and to gain some appreciation for the terrain along the way. The scale of the map is ...

Colorado Atlas and Gazetteer 14 reviews

Great for hunting, camping, hiking & more... Got this for deer and especially elk hunting season this year (2009). Worked great, but the scale is a bit high for even the smaller maps overall. I ended up scanning the page with my hunting area on it and blowing it up about 125% to 150% - and then used that when hiking/hunting. Worked great and covered just about all of the major and minor roads & trails where I was.
I would recommend ...

North Carolina Atlas As with any atlas this is worth the money, better than a state map. Where there is so many places to explore into the back country of NC, this is just the ticket.

Oregon Atlas & Gazetteer 17 reviews Delorme
DeLorme Publishing, 2004
Best paper map around! I worked on a project with the Oregon DOT, in which I drove about ten thousand miles throughout Oregon in one summer. This map was the guide we used in our travels throughout the state, and it was a more up-to-date source of information than most maps. We had to drive to 160 total sites, half of which were local (county) roads, and we were always able to keep our location, even in some rural ...

Arkansas Atlas & Gazetteer 8 reviews DeLorme
DeLorme Publishing, 2004
Arkansas Atlas & Gazeteer I have owned several of these in the past for other states but now that
I own property in Arkansas I needed to have one. It's always nice to
know all the backroads, swimming holes, interesting geographical features
and so on of an area. It makes it easier to identify local landmarks
such as "North Hole" when talking with locals. Great for hunting too.

These guides are very detailed because they are written for each individual state. Hawaii's map pages are 1:84,000 scale and parts of Alaska can have 1:1,1,400,000 scale. Visit http://delorme.com and you can get information on map scales and elevations for the state you're interested in.
I can thank this book for the best ...

Delorme Atlas & Gazetter These Delorme Atlas & Gazetters are wondeful. They show you many features not available through GPS, maps or other atlases. It is a great feature to have the BLM lands marked as well as the back roads. Good resources are also included in each states atlas. A good addition to anyone's travel tools.

Maine Atlas & Gazetteer 18 reviews Delorme

The finest map you can buy. I've been camping in Maine for a few weeks... Mainers expect you to have one of these. They say "get out your DeLorme's" not "do you have a map?" Some people I've met have pointed me to the right page without looking at the back.
The details in this atlas are great! All of Maine's public reserve land and campground are clearly marked. If you are trying to do some real camping in some ...

New Mexico Atlas & Gazetteer 18 reviews Delorme
DeLorme Publishing, 2000
Not perfect, but the best atlas in print for New Mexico I also own the Benchmark atlas of New Mexico, which is the only competition so far as I can tell. I don't use the Benchmark map, though. Although I've seen complaints in the reviews that the newer edition of the DeLorme atlas doesn't have as much information as older editions, there is still far more detail here than in the Benchmark map. DeLorme has its flaws, nonetheless; for instance, so ...

Idaho Atlas & Gazetteer 7 reviews Delorme
DeLorme Publishing, 2000
I wouldn't leave home without it..... Living in rural Idaho, this guide is a must.
Is it 100% accurate? Well, no.....our roads are often dirt and change frequently, but it's accurate enough for 99.9% of the situations that drivers would put themselves in.
