This translation of "Fünf Ringe" is the best I have seen in German or English. The depth of Musashi's words is supplemented nicely by the beauty of the language. The commentary is second to none, rivalling that of Tokitsu Kenji in his biography "Miyamoto Musashi: His Life and Writings", which you should also read. This book is perfect for any German-speaking enthusiast of Kampfkünste.

I recently purchased this for my wife, only to find out when I received it, that it was in german. The description mentioned nothing about this. The only clue you have is the german publisher. Just a warning for any other Maeve Binchy fans who dont speak german

just finished it in german and have to get it in english too
I got this book for christmas and just finished it, the last pages were very suspensful and I just couldn't stop reading. Some things are described in a too childish way, but that is only peripheral things, the story is cool and suprisingly I really liked it. Good book! PS: Lot of spelling mistakes I also noticed, very disturbing at first!
