Great book for class or to help a child at home! (4th grade)
This book is excellent for an individual child to use at home or a teacher to use in his or her classroom. I used this with my fourth grade class for morning work or for remediation. Pages are easy to copy or to make overheads. Answer key is available right after each selection, which is nicer than searching in the back of the book. It touches upon all Language arts skills in a nice format. I ...

Daily Language Review, Grade 25 reviews
Moore, Jo Ellen Moore

Evan-Moor Educational Publishers, 1998

Quick and Easy
This book is divided into weeks, with a 5 question review for each day of the week. I use this in my 2nd grade class. We do one a day, it takes about 10 min. for the kids to complete and for me to go over the skills and answers. It is a great way to review different skills, from correcting sentences, to matching vowel sounds in words or finding the correct spelling of a word. My students are ...

Daily Math Practice, Grade 32 reviews
Jo Ellen Moore

Evan-Moor Educational Publishers, 1999

good supplement
I'm a firm believer of practice early on math. It will build kid's interest and confidence for the long run. This book is invaluable. It breaks grade 3 math into small pieces and let your child do a little every day. My daughter learned a lot from this book. She often asks further questions and thinks a lot more. It helped her do well in math. In the Beestar online math contest (a nice web site ...

a little every day makes the difference
A great daily keep up workbook. It breaks down one year's math into small pieces and allow your child to do a little a day without worrying about missing anything. The standard test format makes your kid comfortable with the future real tests. Well organized good book. To get ahead in math, my child does more than what this book offers. As a complement, if you have Internet at home, you ...

Daily Handwriting Practice: Contemporary Cursive3 reviews
Jill Norris

Evan-Moor Educational Publishers, 2000

Just what we were looking for.
We were happy to have discovered this series. My 2 boys had already learned the formation of the letters, but still needed practice in writing. This series of books fit the bill perfectly! The practice is divided into daily amounts and the children are learning other information through the writing. Instead of simply copying letters or words focused on one letter, they are putting the whole ...

Daily Language Review, Grade 14 reviews

Great daily skills practice
With educational and testing standards getting more and more difficult, it is nice having a tool to provide students with practice with language arts skills. These Daily Language Practice sheets give 1st graders a daily dose of basic editing (adding capitals, basic spelling errors, punctuation). They also include a variety of other activities including sorting words, yes/no questions, rhyming ...

Daily Language Review, Grade 62 reviews

Great Resource
If you are looking for a good way to tackle the "oh-so-fun" grammar aspect of your standards, this is it. I took 10min in the begining of each class to go over each day as bellwork. It is digestible for kids and very relevant to the skills they are suppposed to be learning. It includes, idioms and metaphors ect. My only problem is that, at least at my school, the material is a little advanced, ...

Great for daily review
This book keeps my students current with the information they need to build and improve their grammar skills. They look forward to the daily exercises and participate willingly each morning. I have shared this book with other teachers and they have all since bought their own. I would highly recommend this book to any educator.

How to Teach Art to Children, Grades 1-622 reviews
Joy Evans, Tanya Skelton

Evan-Moor Educational Publishers, 2001

I love this book!
I am a homeschooling mom, sadly lacking in the creativity department. I love this book and have found it to be a wonderful resource for art class. It's easy to use and dd loves the activities. This is the one subject I was really concerned about being able to adequately teach, but this book has made it so simple. In addition to just offering a creative outlet, it gives instruction in actual ...

Daily Language Review, Grade 53 reviews

Daily Language Review books are a must for any teacher!
I have taught 3rd, 5th and 6th grades and will never teach without a DLR book again. They are simple and easy to use in the classroom, but also provide wonderful skills for students. They go beyond the traditional DOL skills and teach more skills that students need to know. These books are set up so that they can be completed in just a small amount of time but you will see a huge ...

Daily Math Practice, Grade 13 reviews

Great Review of 1st Grade Math Skills
I used this book for after-school review with my 6-year-old son. The format (5 problems per day, including 1 word problem) worked great. Used on a daily basis, it provides just enough repetition to do the trick. You get a total of 180 sets of problems, broken down into 36 weeks. Each set takes up 1/2 of one side of a page. The book provides lots of variety in its problem sets. All in all, this ...

Wonderful activit;y book!
We used this with our 2nd grade daughter with Story Of The World history. She enjoyed doing the activities and there were some really neat, creative things to do. No cheesy activities, these were unique projects that were fun and educational. This went perfectly with SOTW volume 1. -Jeanne

Daily Word Problems, Grade 31 review
Jill Norris

Evan-Moor Educational Publishers, 2001

Great supplemental tool!
I love the format of this book! There is a word problem for each day of the week -- Monday through Thursday are half-sheets, and Friday is a whole sheet. I use this book for my morning work/opening -- I have each day's problem waiting for the students on their desks, and it's the first thing they do in the morning. It's a fantastic review and use of basic skills, especially since our math ...

EASY TO MAKE
Out of many centers books I've tried, this was by far the quickest and easiest to set up. No coloring, just laminate and cut it out. I'm ordering the math centers, too. A great product I would recommend to any teacher!

Take It to Your Seat Math Centers, Grades 3-41 review
Jo Ellen Moore

Evan-Moor Educational Publishers, 2004

It works!
I wanted something relevant that students could work on while I was working with small groups - without having to spend a lot of time on my part organizing. This works well. It was time consuming at first to set up the folders (I laminated), but now that it is done there is very little time on my part required. I teach 4th grade and plan on getting the centers for 4th - 5th next year and ...

Daily Math Practice, Grade 43 reviews
Wes Tuttle

Evan-Moor Educational Publishers, 1999

Good supplement to schoolwork
The book presents 36 weeks of work in M-F segments. The segments are short so there has never been a battle with my son over doing them. He is in 5th and I am using this to keep his skills fresh as they delve into newer concepts. It covers basic math facts such as add/sub/mult/div as well as ratios, some geometry and word problems. Good all-around review.
