Best Vegetarian Cookbook I've ever found
If you want to eat a much healthier diet (especially if you are a diabetic), beg, borrow or steal this book! The recipes range from easy to complex, with everyone of them fantastic. My wife and I have had Arabian Spinach countless times. For satisfying a finicky eater like me, this book is great. Every recipe is fully explained and photographed. Ingredients are easy to get. Very good stuff
This cookbook is a delight - beautiful pictures, clear directions, and marvelous results. All the recipes I have made from this book have been a success, especially the bolognese sauce. The "picture-book" section about pastas, cheeses, spirits, and such is a great visual guide to elements of Italian cooking. The only drawback is the author's tendency to use Italian terms without explaning what ...

What a beautiful cookbook!
This is one of the best cookbooks I have ever owned. It is full of beautiful full color pictures and delicious, easy-to-make soups. One of my favorite features of the book are the "how-to" techniques with pictures to guide you through the process of making some of the more involved soups. Great for the novice cook, or someone looking to improve cooking skills.

Great music encyclopedia
I really recommend this book to anyone who wants a nice overview of Musical instruments, history, and composers. It has great coverage of all the instruments and some information on how they work and are played. It covers a ton of music history and talks about many composers. I haven't gotten a chance to really thoroughly read it yet but I'm already very impressed and like it better than the ...

Complete technique book with excellent demonstrations
Got this as a bargain book at a local book store. What a bargain. One of the best illustrated books with a wide variety of demonstrations. I have tried several of the demonstrations and got excellent results and learned something in the process. Recommend it to the beginner or one who wants to improve their skills and have gone past the beginner level.

Really usable
With 120 knots/bends/etc, this is perhaps not definitive, but certainly complete for almost any usage. It is profusely illustrated with clear, easy-to-read photographs, and has easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions. Covering everything from the most basic to the decorative, with suggestions for the use of each, it would be a practical and beautiful assistance for anyone who has always wanted ...

As complete a book as I could want!
This book is a treasure trove of information. If you want to know everything about yoga and pilates, this is the book for you. This comprehensive collection--a compilation of several books--is profusely illustrated with full-color photos. In some ways, this book reminds me of DK Guides, which are also full of photos and helpful captions. The only thing that might have made this hefty tome ...

Useful and beautiful
I have two points of reference for talking about this book: I lived in France and adore French cooking, especially Provençal, and I am a book designer and photographer. This book has turned out to be my favorite go-to resource over the past couple of years (the other one being Rosso and Lukins, The New Basics Cookbook). Of the dozens of recipes I have tried, every single one has been wonderful, ...

Useful for Basics.
Let me begin by saying I know very little about ballroom dancing, but like so many others, my wife and I have gotten somewhat interested thanks to the Dancing With the Stars craze that has become so popular. She has insisted that we take dance lessons and, not being one eager to embarrass myself publicly, I wanted to at least know some of the basics before going in. DANCE CLASS by Paul Bottomer ...
