The color book of beaded jewelry
This is a nice book with helpful hints along the way. It is nice that at the front of the book they have a color wheel. Unfortunately those two pages are really the only ones in the book that talks about color association. The chapters more or less dedicate a chapter to each of the primary colors showing you that you can make this with red and in this chapter you can make this in green etc.... ...

Breathtaking
I just received this book and haven't been able to put it down. The photographs are beautifully illustrated and the directions couldn't be more clear. Patterns are available for the beginner (like myself) and intermediate level. Also, the book has a spiral binding which allows it to stand making direction very easy to follow. I've already picked out a pattern, purchased the fabric and batting ...

Awesome Tees! I've made a few, and they're not hard to make at all! My favorite project was the Bohemian style shirt. I made it, and you'd never be able to tell that I did. I really thought the stencils in the back of the book were cool too. I can't wait to make some of the book's other projects.

lots of rings
There are 38 patterns for rings, 11 for earrings, 5 for bracelets, one pin and 19 pendants. Some of them are sets though. All the patterns use mainly crystals with rocailles or Japanese seed beads. Also the work is done with 2 needles and the thread as explained in the English translation is not familiar to me but in my French original it says transparent nylon size from 0.25-0.35mm. The ...

Great for developing ideas for your own designs!
Maybe I am a different sort of artist, I purchase these types of books to aid me when I develop ideas for my own designs. Rarely do I copy what I see in books or magazines - and this goes for all my work from jewelry, purses, clothing, artwork in various types of media (paint, pastel, ink, fabric, collage, metal, fiber, etc.). Therefore, this book is great for doing exactly that, but I do ...

A Springboard for Successful Wire Wrapped jewelry!
I have been designing jewelry for 12 years. There is always some elusive technique that I cannot find really good tutorial for. This book offered an excellent tutorial for wire wrapping briolettes. A great book for beginners with courage and moxy. A terrific book for intermediate skilled artisans. Well thought out with cute designs
Finally another cute crochet book....to join Happy Hooker and Fabulous and Flirty Crochet.... my favourite crochet books so far. This one is more like FFC in that there are no cushions or toys etc etc.... it's accessories and items of clothing. The patterns are a mix of simple to less simple, and include a cute jacket, an adorable short sleeved bolero jacket, the waistcoat on the front, and ...

Beautiful lines and classic shapes
I guess it depends on one's taste, but I found at least six projects that I am excited to knit from this book. I prefer simple, elegant shapes and I hate lots of color and texture, so most of the designs suited me.

Great Fashion
I am always looking for fashionable crochet patterns. Most are boxy and old fashioned. The patterns in this book, however, are modern and I would make them for my neices. I bought the book because of the shoulder shrug pattern. The pattern was very easy to follow but, I never just follow directions. I crocheted it in a cotton yarn, which was a bit thicker than the yarn called for. With that, I ...

Cheesy!
I thought the embellishments in this book were so cheesy! I'm not going to use hot glue for attaching things to my jeans! I thought the best embellishments were in the preview of the book. They were so basic and a bit ridiculous. Save your money.

Much better than expected
I almost didn't buy this book because of the bad review given it by the other reviewer. (And because yet another publisher won't let me look inside the book to see what I'm buying - I just don't get this.) But I took a chance and I'm very pleased. I'd say there are a couple "duds" in the book, but there are at least 3-4 that I want to make immediately. And many of the others look like they ...

Surprisingly good and inspirational
Don't judge this book by the cover or title. I've seen this book for over a year and thought this was about cutesy, trendy jewelry. The words "chunky" and "funky" didin't help either. Wrong. The jewelry projects stike me as classic costume jewelry along the likes of Kenneth Jay Lane and maybe even Miriam Haskell. Costume jewelry is big and bold and opulent whereas many books on vintage styles are ...
