The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 1008 reviews Ann Brashares
Imagination Studio, 2001
Sisterhood of the traveling pants Right now this series is a favorite among teen girls and their mothers. In the library I classify this series as 'warm and fuzzy'. It's an added benefit that girls and their moms are reading together. Even more warm and fuzzy.

Second Summer of Sisterhood 331 reviews Ann Brashares
Imagination Studio, 2003
Great Summer Read! I just finished reading this book. This book tells of the girls hardships and friendship over the next summer. Ann Brashares did a great job with this book. I really would recommend this to anybody, but you probably want to read the first one first. I was totally interesting in reading this book and couldn't keep it down. It truly was an amazing book. Lena falls back in love with Kostos but he ...

Magic Tree House CD Edition Books 17-24 (Magic Tree House Collection) 14 reviews
Imagination Studio, 2005
My daughter LOVES these! After she reads these books, she still loves to hear the audiobooks over and over. She listens to them on her stereo with her iDog while she's falling asleep at night - a great alternative to radio (too much adult-oriented humor from DJ's in my area for a little girl to be hearing). Wonderfully told and entertaining!

There's little enough joy in the world.... I'll take a child's belly laugh any way I can get it. My kids (7 and 9) absolutely fall about when we read Junie B. together, and they clearly understand that she is being outrageous. That is WHY it's funny. Who wants to read about a little goody two shoes? I think it's strange that reviewers are huffing about saying it's poorly written. A writer who can bring a character that vividly to life, ...

Wonderful children's series We were first introduced to the Geronimo Stilton series with an audio book from a Wendy's kid's meal and fell in love with the series. My children (4 and 2 years) love listening to the audio books in the car and there is enough adult humor to the books so parents will enjoy listening to them too. Edward Herrmann does a wonderful job narrating these books.

A triumph for June B. Jones! Thank you, Barbara Parks for letting America's favorite first grader learn a splendid Christmas lesson in Junie B., First Grader: Jingle Bells, Batman Smells! (p.s. so does May.)!
Even at holiday time, Junie is up to her expected tricks, and there's an awful rivalry with Tattletale May. But, alls well that ends well, with tons of laughs on the way to a heartwarming ending.
Brava, Barbara ...

Stink-Great for Joduy Moody fans! I am a big fan of the Jody Moody series, so I was thrilled when I heard they were coming out with a series about Joudy's little brother Stink! This book is well written and easy for young and old readers to understand. It is a very funny and enjoyable book! I totally recommend it to anyone who likes comedy.

A great series for boys! The way I see it, any book that can keep a 10 year old boy away from his video games, gets 5 stars and then some. "Day of the Iguana" and the other eight books will do for boys what "The Babysitters Club" did for girls. I've been waiting a long time for something boys can relate to other than "Yu Gi Oh" comic books and "Captain Underpants." Henry Winkler has done that with Hank Zipzer and his ...

Stink rules! Not only is the book about Judy's younger brother, Stink, but it's written for the younger reader as well. The type is larger and the book is not as long as the Judy Moody books. Again, perfect for a young reader. I love Judy Moody books as the dynamic of kids is really well written. Their behavior, thoughts, the things they say, everything, is well portrayed. In my opinion, far better than Junie ...
