Fundamental Phonics in a Fun Friendly Format
It is so hard these days to find interesting books that focus on phonics AND child confidence that don't have an overwhelming number of undecodable words. This book is a treasure if you are looking for a program focusing on beginning phonics (Consonant-Vowel-Consonant) and Consonant Blends and Sight Words in a format that your child will enjoy while building up confidence. Each soft cover book is ...

Very motivating for the child who just wont!!!!!
my son now six has known his letter sounds since he was four and just would not be willing to sit down and read even the simpliest of books to me, and I have a lot of emergent readers and leveled readers. This was the set That did it for us. He begs to read these books, he thinks they are so funny and they are wrote in a way that works for him. These books really concentrate on phonics and not ...

AWESOME for resistant readers!
My daughter LOVED this series!!! One comment though, the description has preschol readers as the reading level.. but actually the INDEPENDENT level is about a second grade level book. Nice pictures, easy text, graduated vocabulary, and high interest topics. I only wish they had MORE on the independent level than they do.

Coin Collecting for Kids32 reviews
Steve Otfinoski

Innovative Kids, 2007

FANTASTIC!!!
This past summer my kids and I sorted, counted, and rolled over $550 in coins. In the process we filled our coin collecting book (the previous version of this one) and I couldn't believe what a great bonding experience this was. I have 3 children 6 1/2, 5, and 3 years old. My 6 1/2 year old was really into this...not so much for my other ones. But, I think they were just a little to young for ...

Now I'm Reading!: Amazing Animals - Level 2 (Now I'm Reading)32 reviews
Nora Gaydos

Innovative Kids, 2001

Perfect for young readers!
I bought this for my 4 yr old after having used the first two sets of Bob Books (scholastic). Now I'm Reading!: Amazing Animals is an excellent next step! Amazing Animals introduces long vowel sounds and vowel pairs (digraphs) in managable chunks. This set is great for kids who are intimidated by the usual graded learning-to-read books (like Danny and the Dinosaur) or books which rely on ...

Lara Bergen

Innovative Kids, 2007

Great fun for one and a group of young readers!
My 5 year old and his cousins enjoy this book and the other phonics comics. They want to read these over and over. The only problem we have is the kids deciding who is going to play who in the drama they produce with each reading.

Sounds on the Farm9 reviews
Gail Donovan

Innovative Kids, 2004

This book expands from basic farm animals to details about them
This farm book is great because it contains real photos of the animals along with decent quality sound that must be activated by your child with a button. The pages expand to include details about each animal that is more for your toddler. The quality of the book binding is also good so it can take a beating from your teething infant.

Now I'm Reading!: All About the ABCs (Now I'm Reading!)1 review
Nora Gaydos

Innovative Kids, 2006

Very good first time reader books
My son just started to learn to read. This series is very good. The words are easy enough for him to feel like he can read, but hard enough to make him work at learning.

Fiscal Management for Little Ones
Mr. Talbot's book appeals on so many levels, it is a "must buy" for any household with children who are curious about coins. Pick it up for any child who is always wandering around with that spare penny, nickel, dime or quarter clutched in his or her little fist. The book provides a safe place to collect those coins, while storing them in such a way that they can be looked at from time to time. ...

Coyotes, katydids and owls -- oh my!
This book was bought as a family Christmas present last month. I thought that my boys, ages 3 and 6, would like it but jumpin' jimminy, it's become their favorite bedtime book. Basically, you have a riddle on one side of the page that gives a few hints about the creature, and then you press the color-coded button on the bar below. The creature's sound is called and the child can try to guess ...

VERY FUN!
My 1 year old son and I love this book! It has a great variety of vehicles and sounds. I like how you can read the simple version of the story or open it up for a more detailed version when he gets older. This book is great for all kids who like trucks! Good quality and good pictures!

Hear and There Book: Safari Sounds (Here and There)4 reviews
Susan Ring

Innovative Kids, 2004

My Toddlers Love this Book
If you want to introduce your children to African animals, this book is for you. My toddlers love lifting the flaps to reveal hidden animals and pressing color-coded buttons to hear what the animals sound like. We have two similar books (Bird Calls and Night Sounds) but this one is much easier for young children to use since the animals are hidden behind flaps rather than pull-tabs. I highly ...

Good choice
My son (5 1/2) just finished this book and he loved it, so much that Im buying more of the series. One comment though: the pictures are so cool that he had a hard time focusing on the words, but he finished it on his own while he was in time out. Bottom line: Im buying more because I know he will read by himself, no pressure need it !!

Great for one or a more young readers
This was our first Phonic Comic. It has my son so exicited about reading, I immediately bought more. He loves acting out the characters and trying new voices for each. My 5 year old and his cousins enjoy this book and the other phonics comics. They want to read these over and over. The only problem we have is the kids deciding who is going to play who in the drama they produce with each ...
