5 stars from gobbysreviews...
_10 Trick-or-Treaters : a Halloween Counting Book_ is a cute addition for your Halloween collection. Your little ones at home, school, or library will enjoy Janet Schulman's simple, rhythmic counting rhymes. It's easy for the kids to chime in with, "and then there were _____," as the trick-or-treaters run off, one by one. Hillary Clinton names "33 Things..." in July speech
This July at the 150th anniversary of the first women's rights convention in Seneca Falls, New York, First Lady Hillary Clinton mentioned "33 Things Every Girl Should Know" in her speech before 15,000 people. Two hours after the speech, "33 Things..." was flying off the shelf at a book signing at the Women's Rights National Historical Park. My 13 year old daughter, Elizabeth Jenkins-Sahlin, an ...

The 2nd Raffi Songbook1 review
Raffi

Knopf Books for Young Readers, 1988

Sing Sing Sing
Raffi has long been one of my favorite children's entertainers. This book includes the piano music from 3 of his records. The music is at a moderate level, you need some piano skills to be able to play it, but it is not overly difficult. The children love the songs. They are almost exact versions from the 3 records.

Addie and the King of Heart's
Addie wasa good book because Addie fell in love with there teacher and all of her friends made fun of her because of the person she like a lot.Her friends would tell her she was nasty for liking the teacher and she would say that they were only eleven years older than she was.I liked the book because was very funny.I rat this book a ten out of ten because of all the things that happened.

75 Years of Children's Book Week Posters: CELEBRATING GREAT ILLUSTRATORS OF AMERICAN CHILDREN'S BOOKS (Horn ...1 review
Leonard S. Marcus

Knopf Books for Young Readers, 1994

Inspiration for web designers
This book is a great resource for graphic designers looking for ideas for web site illustrations. Broad color schemes, dramatic but often simple posters many of which could be adapted as animations. A beautiful tribute to the great children's authors.

8 Plus 1: Stories1 review
Robert Cormier

Knopf Books for Young Readers, 1980

Several good plus one outstanding
Those who've read "Fade" know what a fine story-teller Cormier is. This is a collection of nicely written tales highlighted by the last, "Mine on Thursdays," the unforgettable story of an alcoholic father and ex-husband and his trip to an amusement park with his daughter (who normally lives with her mom). Possibly the finest story ever written about divorce and its effects on children.

Accidental Lily1 review
Sally Warner

Knopf Books for Young Readers, 1999

Can Lily help bedwetters?
This book as a story is well written, contemporary and for the most part fun to read. My interest in the book was to see how it dealt with the topic of bedwetting. Overall I was disappointed. Lily is described as an occasional but frequent bedwetter. So, while this story might help children to feel more sympathetic towards peers who wet and enable them to empathize with children who share a ...

Ace: The Very Important Pig8 reviews
Dick King-Smith

Knopf Books for Young Readers, 1990

Loved it!
This is an excellent book by an excellent author. I've never been disappointed in one of his books and this is one of his best! I wish it could have been longer or that there were a sequel to it. The main characters are Farmer Tubbs and a lot of animals that live on his farm. I recomment this book for anyone who likes pigs, animals, or humorous stories. It's probably more of a child's book, ...
