Marvel Zombies 2 HC2 reviews
Robert Kirkman, Sean Phillips

Marvel Comics, 2008

Got to love it!
A must have for the collection. Sad to see it all end but you can see where they went if you look through the Army of Darkness comics.

World War Hulk: Marvel Universe3 reviews
Christos Gage, Robert Kirkman, ...

Marvel Comics, 2008

Strongest one there is.
This is a good collection of the crossovers within the marvel universe for the WWH story. Admittedly one of the best stories that year, this collection showcases how futile it is to go up against the Hulk. If you are a big X-Men fan, you might be hurt by their battle, where a young mutant by the name of Darwin who's ability is to "evolve a power" to defend against any situation, gets hit by the ...

Incredible Hulk: Planet Hulk48 reviews
Greg Pak

Marvel Comics, 2008

great book great art!
let me start by saying that i have only loosely followed the hulks career. I bought a few hulk comics her and there and always found it interesting when he would turn a new color(Grey/green) or get a new personality for an old color. but i began hearing about this book from a few friends and i decided to check it out.....and i am so glad i did! The story in this book is top notch. It really ...

Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter: The First Death21 reviews
Laurell K. Hamilton, Jonathon Green, ...

Marvel Comics, 2008

awesome book!! this makes the book soo much better!
This graphic novel makes the book guilty pleasures so much more enjoyable because you can now put faces completely to the charaters though some like always do not look how you pictured them at all. Amazing all around though, the artistry is something i wish i could even compare to. Love it to death!

Captain America by Ed Brubaker Omnibus, Vol. 119 reviews
Ed Brubaker

Marvel Comics, 2007

A gorgeous collection for the Best Captain America run out there.
Brubaker is the man. I buy everything with his name on it, and this Omnibus that collects the first 25 issues of his run (leading up to the "Death of a Dream" storyline) is brilliant. This edition collects the story arcs: "Out of Time", "The Winter Soldier", "21st Century Blitz", "Red is the Darkest Colour", "Collision Courses" and "The Drums of War (A Civil War Tie-In)" as well as the first ...

The Death of Captain America, Vol. 23 reviews
Ed Brubaker

Marvel Comics, 2008

I'm a believer
Ed Brubaker's critically acclaimed run on Captain America has seemingly been celebrated by everyone, except me. I hadn't been all that thrilled with Brubaker's run thus far, and while for me personally it hasn't been anything terrible in the least, bringing Bucky back from the dead and killing off Cap haven't exactly been anything special for me either. However, I am now a believer in the magic ...

World War Hulk (Marvel Comics)10 reviews
Greg Pak

Marvel Comics, 2008

A great final for planet Hulk
This book is really good, has a lot of good fights, the story is basic but is a good final to planet hulk, Jonh Romita JR's art is espectacular, if you compare this book with Pplanet Hulk it is a mistake because planet hulk is a very complex-interesting arc, and world war hulk delivers the final, now i want to read Hulk (red hulk) and find out what happens to our green/red goliath.

Thor, Vol. 14 reviews
J. Michael Straczynski

Marvel Comics, 2008

Well That Thor is a Bad Mutha (Shut Your Mouth)!
All I can say is WOW!!!! JMS has produced his finest work here, hands down. Spider-Man has got nothing at all on Thor! What a much needed make over for the thunder god! He's not just powerful anymore, he's violent and lonely and got something of a bloodlust. I mean he's not just willing to incapacitate his enemies anymore, but to totally do away with them. Not to mention the arse whoopin ...

Civil War (Marvel Comics)66 reviews
Mark Millar

Marvel Comics, 2007

Sophisticated Story by a Top Writer
In Civil War, Mark Millar does what he does best. He tells an intriguing and sophisticated story about super-heroes wrestling with complicated and morally ambiguous issues. His versions of many of Marvel's oldest super-heroes will seem slightly unfamiliar but ultimately the story and its heroes are very compelling. Civil War begins when a group of young super heroes known as The New Warriors ...

Marvel Zombies: Dead Days3 reviews
Robert Kirkman, Mark Millar, ...

Marvel Comics, 2008

Zomberific
I've been a big fan of Marvel comics and I was very excitied when I first read Marvel Zombies. I thought it was pretty clever and I enjoyed the style of art that it contained. But Marvel Zombies Dead Days is way better, both in story and art. Dead Days is divided into four sections. The first section is "Dead Days" in which we are shown how the infection is spread about this Marvel universe. ...

New Avengers Vol. 7: The Trust6 reviews
Brian Michael Bendis

Marvel Comics, 2008

Brian Michael Bendis does it once again!
Superb dialog plus top notch art. Honestly, Bendis could write a phone book and I would read it cover to cover multiple times. (Review by Michael Atkinson I just purchased it for him)

Immortal Iron Fist Vol. 2: The Seven Capital Cities of Heaven (New Avengers)2 reviews
Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction

Marvel Comics, 2008

Unbelievably good
Seriously, who would have thought that a lower-tier character like Iron Fist would ever have gotten his own series that is this good? The writing team of Ed Brubaker (Captain America, Daredevil) and Matt Fraction (Punisher War Journal, The Order) deliver a title that combines nods to the 70's kung-fu era that helped birth the character, and just plain great storytelling. The Seven Capital ...

The Ultimates, Vol. 160 reviews
Mark Millar

Marvel Comics, 2004

Why Comics Are Good For You
The reason why comics are everywhere now is because a lot of people who read comics 20 years ago, and stopped reading 10 years ago, started reading comics again BECAUSE OF THIS BOOK. 6 years later, the authors have just finished the second volume. Alan Moore does art. Millar and Hitch do epic.

New Avengers: Illuminati8 reviews
Brian Michael Bendis, Brian Reed

Marvel Comics, 2008

Best of 2008
This does what all great comics should do; makes you think, makes you laugh and the art and action are excellent. It is the best I've read this year; absolutely fantastic.

The Gunslinger Born (The Dark Tower Graphic Novel)63 reviews
Peter David, Stephen King, ...

Marvel Comics, 2007

Excellent graphic novel
This book is very good, and the story is really interesting, Jae Lee's art is awesome and strong, well this book tells the beggining of the gunslinger Roland, the only thing is that the story has not end, and of course I can't wait to read the next collection, I never read any Stephen King's novel, but this is good, it mixes cowboys and magic, well I think if you love adult graphic novels then ...
