Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine (2 Vol Set) 18 reviews Anthony Fauci, Eugene Braunwald, ...
McGraw-Hill Professional, 2008
Better and better Encyclopedic as always and kept as current as it can be given that there are probably changes from writing to printing. If they make the paper any thinner as the number of pages increase with each edition, the pages will vaporize as you turn them (not really).

An excellent compendium for physiology lectrues This new edition of the classical text book Goodman and Gilmans is further improved. Arguments are clearly exposed, with a preliminary background on the physiology of the organ and functional aspects of each class of drug and chemical compounds. It is an excellent reference book for my lectures on General Physiology to undergraduate students. I often use it also when preparing lectures to PhD ...

CURRENT Diagnosis and Treatment Pediatrics, Nineteenth Edition (LANGE CURRENT Series) 9 reviews William Hay, Myron Levin, ...
McGraw-Hill Professional, 2008
good for interns This was my reference of choice when I was an intern at a busy major children's hospital. It's comprehensive, not too heavy to lug around, gives you the important details and gives you references as to where to go next for further reading. It's not always enough information when it comes to specific cases. I usually went to UpToDate, PedsinReview or lit searches at that point. I think this is ...

DeGowin's Diagnostic Examination, Ninth Edition 16 reviews Richard LeBlond, Donald Brown
McGraw-Hill Professional, 2008
DeGowins is the end all be all of physical exam After using Jarvis and Bates in college, I happened to find a recommendation to use DeGowins instead. Degowins, despite its small size, packs a large punch compared to the usual fare. Its about the size of a nursing drug guide and can be easily stored away for clinical reference in your bag. It contains descriptions and drawn graphics of procedures and possible differential diagnosis for ...

Airport Planning & Management 7 reviews Alexander T. Wells, Seth Young

A Great Overview of Airport Management! As an aviation professor, I wanted a book that offered a comprehensive but relatively basic overview to the many aspects of airport management. Airport Planning & Management is an easy read and its format makes it easy to refer back to areas of the book for review. It has a good balance of charts, diagrams, and graphics. It is a great book for students that want a well-rounded understanding of ...

McGraw-Hill Professional, 1999
The B-17s Help Win the Air War I've read several books about the air war over Europe during World War II, and this is the best one I've read. The author does a fine job of describing the formation of the Eighth Air Force. From its beginnings in the fall of 1942 up until the end of the war in May, 1945, American B-17s along with their fighter escorts of P-38s, P-47s, and P-51s brought the war directly to the doorstep of ...

Great Review Book This was just what I needed to score high on my college math placement test! I haven't taken math in 20 yrs!! My last memory of math is me crying and my teacher yelling "Do you want to graduate?!?!" I'm so glad I don't have to take any developmental classes.
The book provided lots of practice problems. It also provided clear easy examples of how to solve the problems. They really broke it ...
