Hands down the best book I've ever seen!
This book is amazing. Its great for those who are just interested in learning about marine invertebrates to those who use it as a reference guide to keep their salt water aquarium. I use this book and the rest of the Pocket Expert book on a daily basis. Seriously everyone in this hobby should own them all.

Another very useful book
I just got this book the day before Christmas and opened after. I've read through most of it and find it very fun and useful. There's going to be a coming time when our economy tanks and we need info like this to keep alive. We need a whole new philosophy of life, one based around both surviving and living and enjoying life, not "Working jobs we hate to buy things we don't need."

Must Have if you plan to start a reef aquarium
Very useful book. It doesn't just give one persons ideas on what it takes to have a successful reef aquarium. This book samples many different types of successful reef tanks and what the owners did to keep their reefs thriving. It shows you that you can spend thousands of dollars on equipment and have a successful tank or you can have very simple and inexpensive things and still have a ...

As charming and fun as Portland itself
On my last trip to Portland I came across a huge stack of copies of this book at Powell's Books near the front of the store. It only took a brief browsing to tell that this was a keeper and I spent the entire trip back to Seattle on the Amtrak reading it. This is the fourth edition of this guide and is primarily useful for lots and lots of cheap (or relatively cheap) restaurants, coffeehouses, ...

Best Chili Ever!
This is one of the oddest cookbooks I've ever seen, but I really like it. If you will be offended by the author's references to Black Metal and Satan and the like, pass it up. Otherwise, I recommend it. The "Chili of Holy Terror" is the best vegan chili I've ever made.

The Future is Microsats, and Here is the Authoritative Work
After 45 years of dominance by governments and hugh corporations, perhaps the little guy is starting to make inroads into the spacce satellite market. At least that's what Rick Fleeter thinks. In "The Logic of Microspace" Fleeter talks about the revolution in small, low-cost space satellites taking place at the beginning of the 21sy century. He notes that these tiny satellites, and the microspace ...

Great Book for the Aquarist or Diver!
Scott Michael continues his Reef Fishes series with this excellent book. The gorgeous photographs allow easy identification, often including multiple photos for color variations due to location, sex, etc. It also includes information on maximum length, distribution, and biology useful to both divers and aquarists, as well as captive care and aquarium suitability ratings.
