No English 3 reviews Jacqueline Jules
Mitten Press, 2008
This beautiful, heartwarming tale is one that is experienced in more and more schools across the country every day! It was not going to be easy being a new student at Robinson School. Blanca just knew everyone would turn and stare at her and it would be even worse if she couldn't respond to their questions. "No English. Espaņol." Blanca was from Argentina, but Diana, her new seat mate, didn't know that. It really annoyed her that this new girl was getting away with drawing a little blue house with a ...

Nicholas: A Massachusetts Tale 2 reviews Peter Arenstam
Mitten Press, 2007
Wonderful reading for children and adults! This is a very well written children's book that also provides a wonderful introductory history of Massachusetts. My 4 year old daughter recieved this book as a Christmas present and she loves it. Reminds me of EB White's genre of stories, e.g., Trumpeter Swan. The animal characters really come to life and have great personality thanks to the author's writing. As a mom I have appreciated that ...
