Music Minus One Piano: J.S. Bach Concerto in D minor, BWV1052 (Book & 2 CD Set)1 review
Johann Sebastian Bach

Music Minus One, 2003

a dream come true to play with an orchestra
I've been playing this concerto for 2 years now without any accompaniment. I've always wondered how I would sound with an orchestra. If you've always wanted to play this concerto with a full orchestra, this is a great (not to mention economical) substitute for the real one. Since the score is marked to match the track numbers in the CD for the full-speed and the slow-tempo version, it is quite ...

Music Minus One Piano: Rachmaninov Concerto No. 2 in C minor, op. 18 (Sheet Music and 2 CD Set)2 reviews
Sergei Rachmaninov

Music Minus One, 1997

Zenith of piano literature
This one of the most challenging works in piano literature. Unlike piano concerto 3, majority the main theme is with the orchestra. Therefore the CD is a must to play this concerto. The quality of the product is impeccable. The CD portion is divided into 50+ tracks for easy access when practicing. If you are thinking about attacking this monumental piece of art, I cannot tell you anything ...

Music Minus One Mezzo-Soprano: French Arias for Mezzo-Soprano and Orchestra (Book & CD)1 review

Music Minus One, 2003

Beautiful orchestral accompaniment
I love performing these pieces - the orchestra is lovely and the speed on these is more to my liking than some other accompaniment CDs I've used. Specifically, John Wustman piano versions are too fast, feel mechanical to me, and lack the room for interpretive feeling. Additionally, when learning new and/or unfamiliar pieces, it's really helpful to have a recording of each aria with the vocals.

Music Minus One Baritone: Famous Baritone Arias (Book & CD)1 review

Music Minus One, 1997

Beautiful piano sound, very useful...
The music was recorded in the '60s by accompanist John Wustman and remastered for this CDG collection. Don't worry, it's a real piano and not a cheesy karaoke synthesizer. This is an excellent learning tool for baritone singers. There are some great opera standards here.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Music Minus One, 1999

Great Idea And Great Music!!!
OK, so this product wasn't perfect. I think the CD didn't contain ALL the music that was on the score provided. But, that possible defect considered, it is still an excellent idea to provide this type of experience to learning flutists so they can experience playing at least SOME of the Mozart Flute Quartets without having to go out and hire players to play the other parts! If you play the ...

Music Minus One Piano: Mozart Concerto No. 12 in A Major, KV414 (Sheet Music and CD Accompaniment)1 review
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Music Minus One, 1996

An accompanying full orchestra in your living room.
This is a wonderful way to enjoy your piano playing in a somwehat unusual way....a full orchestral accompaniment in the form of a CD. I consider myself an advanced pianist. I've been playing the piano since I was 6. My last teacher was an Italian concert pianist until she stopped teaching for reasons of health. But I did not pursue the career of a concert pianist in the theatrical sphere, ...

Music Minus One Electric Guitar: Theron Welch s Electric Classics: Bruch Concerto No. 1 arranged for Electric ...1 review
Theron Welch's

Music Minus One, 2006

Unique and awesome, a labor of love.
This is literally the best electric guitar sheet music i have ever seen. It will make you excited about guitar again, like that first time you heard the intro solo to Metallica's Fade to Black. It will knock your socks off, it will get you laid. Well, no guarantees about that, but you get the idea. This is a REAL, legit, full-blown violin concerto note-for-note for electric guitar. If you ...

Music Minus One Banjo: How to Play the Five String Banjo--The Dick Weissman Method, Vol. I1 review

Music Minus One, 1995

Very well done.
I used this a number of years ago and, foolishly loaned it to another. I never got it back. I was so glad to see it back again so that I can regain some of what I have forgotten over the years. It is really a good beginner program.

Music Minus One Cello: Schubert Piano Trio in E-flat major, op. 100, D929 (Sheet Music & 2 CDs)1 review
Franz Schubert

Music Minus One, 1998

QUICK DELIVERY AND RECIEVED IN GOOD CONDITION
This is the full version of the music that was used in the Bowie horror flick The Hunger. It really is one CD, and the other CD misses an instrument. It also includes the music sheets, which I am still trying to learn to play on the guitar, though the guitar is not used. This is a very special tune in the history of music.

Music Minus One Piano: Gershwin Rhapsody in Blue (Book & CD Set)1 review
George Gershwin

Music Minus One, 2000

Excellent orchestral track
Gershwin's signature concerto can be daunting with double sharps, block chords and lightning fast arpeggios, but you can always pare the selection down to fit your needs. The orcestral track (both with and without piano) is expertly done and well worth the price.

Music Minus One Piano: Schumann Piano Concerto in A Minor, OP. 54 (Sheet Music and CD Accompaniment)1 review
Robert Schumann

Music Minus One, 1995

A home orchestra
As an amateur pianist and singer, I am very excited by the products offered by MMO (Music Minus One). Any practicing musician would know that it is not easy to find good accompaniments and a full orchestra accompaniment is almost only available to professional musicians. This certainly makes learning any piano concerto from the romantic period or arias from operas less motivating. MMO offers an ...

Music Minus One Violin: Bach Double Concerto in D Minor1 review

Music Minus One, 1992

Very enjoyable orchestral experience
I love the Music Minus One concept and as a violinist trying to regain former skills, I find it to be very enjoyable. I really like the fact that the piece is presented at the regular tempo, as well as at a 20% slower rate to give you a chance to be successful!

Music Minus One Tenor Sax, Alto Sax or Trumpet: Boots Randolph: Nashville Classics1 review
Boots Randolph

Music Minus One, 2005

Play Aong With The Man!
Boots Randolph was the best, no doubt about that. This book has a play along CD. When you finish with it, you'll be playing Yakkity Sax right along with Boots and everyone will think you're great. A fun book, especialy if you like to play country music on your sax. He's got music sheets in here with CD background music for both the alto and the tenor sax. Great effort. Love it.

Music Minus One Guitar: Rodrigo Concierto de Aranjuez (Book & 2 CDs)2 reviews

Music Minus One, 1999

Lots of fun
This is a great item and is incredibly fun to play along with. It comes with the guitar part (fingered by A. Romero)and two cds. For the first movement, the slow version is about 65 MM speed and the fast version is about 75 MM. The 75 MM is just right, not too slow, not too fast. It should be ideal for most players unless you are exceptionally talented and can play it at the A. Romero ...

Music Minus One Violin: Beautiful Music for Two Violins, Vol. I: 1st Position (Book & CD)1 review
Richard Henrickson

Music Minus One, 1996

Great and Fun Practice Tool for Beginning Violinists
I just recently started learning the violin, and I've found that this item has been a valuable resource in my practicing. I don't have the greatest ear, and one thing that has given me trouble on violin is intonation (I'm sure this gives everyone trouble when they first start). When practicing alone, it's easy to drift up or down the fingerboard slightly, so you are relatively in tune, but not ...

Music Minus One Bb Clarinet or A Clarinet: Mozart Clarinet Concerto in A, KV622 (Book & CD)1 review
Denitza Lavchieva

Music Minus One, 1996

Great Quality Accompaniment and Wonderful Value
Face it. It's difficult to find a quality recording to accompany your solos. This Book and CD set does a wonderful job. The 'score' is, quite simply, the clarinet part, although I at first thought it would be the full orchestra parts. You may change the tempo using a variable-speed CD player(or Windows Media Player), as is suggested in the accompanying documentation. The soloist on the example ...

Franz Schubert

Music Minus One, 1997

Art in your own voice
As a lover of F. Schubert's Lieder, I find this Music Minus One Seires quite satisfying to my needs: actually singing along with the beautiful accompanying piano by John Wustman. In spite of the strange size of the accompanying music book (to avoid photocopying?), which makes the final product oversized for ordinary shelves, the selection of individual songs are nice and pleasing to sing along. ...

Mozart concerto minus one
Very well done. It would be even better if one of the two listening tracks (the complete piano and orchestra versions) did not have the timing beats which can sometimes be annoying.
