Jump Scars are odd
This is another prequel to the Jumper movie, this time exploring the motivations of the bad guy and someone important to the main cast. This definitely contains a spoiler for the last scene of the movie. Still it is very good and expands the characters in ways not possible in the movie theater.

Scott Continues To Entertain!
I can still barely believe that the Scott Pilgrim series is as good as it is. Author Bryan Lee O'Malley has taken a relationship drama and infused it with numerous references to video games, indie music, manga, and other niche areas of popular culture to create a world where characters are completely fine with breaking out into a massive, over-the-top fight that involves the battleground ...

Tek Jansen - a must read!
When I heard that the Tek Jansen comics were coming out, I was at first nervous. Would the comics be just as good as the show, or would they fall short of Stephen Colbert's hilarious brand of comedy and disappoint me? Luckily, Tek Jansen issue number one managed to be a completly hilarious comic, and I loved it instantly! The humor is not entirely like Colbert's, but similiar all the same. ...

More Like Awesomely O"Malley
i'M a huge fan of Scott Pilgrim and i wasn't sure how this book was going to compare, but it did the opposite of letting me down. iT grasps at the awkward little girl inside of us all... yeah... and plays up the aspect of just wanting to fit in, finding new friends, and just letting life roll. Brian Lee O'Malley has just got himself a person who will read anything he puts out. ANYTHiNG!

Excellent! A must read for geeks and hipsters
Having heard scattered word of mouth reviews from blogs I frequent, I picked the first book up while at Borders. Seeing the manga format, I expected to find something piffle and trite that I would somewhat disdain, but instead I was laughing out loud, drawing irritated stares from my wife and other customers. I sat there and read the first couple books in the series and came back as soon as ...

The Definitive Edition
"Whiteout" and its sequel stand out as classics of the independent comics scene from the late 1990s. U.S. Marshal Carrie Stetko is on the trail of a murderer in Antarctica...and since it's a mystery, that's really all you need to know to start out. The original mini-series was Greg Rucka's breakout hit, leading to his great runs on "Batman: No Man's Land," "Gotham Central," and other notable DC ...

You can't Love a book as much as I love this one. If you did it would get gross. Buy all the Scott Pilgrim books out one through this one: four, when they get to you house call in sick and read them cover to cover. When your done you'll want to move to Canada, or into a video game. They will brighten up you whole year.

Excellent Purchase.
i'd heard some good reviews, and purchased this volume on a whim. it was a fantastic read. this collects the first three multi-issue stories from the queen and country monthly comic. the stories are all tales of modern-day espionage, dealing with in-department politics, relationships, and agents in the field performing their missions. lots of action, but the action is well-balanced with other ...

Brilliant On Every Level
Starring the most lovable young curmudgeon in comic book history, Courtney Crumrin, "Coven Of Mystics" is one of the most enderaing, laugh-out loud hilarious, tragic, bittersweet, imaginative and triumphant books I've ever read, comic book or prose, fiction or non-fiction. It's also one of the scariest, with the Rawhead 'N Bloody Bones bog monster more frightening than most of the nasties ...

The original mini-series was Greg Rucka's breakout hit, leading to his great runs on "Batman: No Man's Land," "Gotham Central," and other notable DC comics. Unexpectedly Phenomenal
I was at the local media store buying Manga when I saw Wet Moon in the Grahpic Novel section. One look at the girl on the cover, about 30 seconds of flipping through the pages, and I was hooked. I refused to leave the store without it. I wasn't sure if it would be any good, but I was willing to take the chance. The artwork alone was worth it. Once I left the store, I couldn't put it down. I ...

great art, fun writing
I'd put it in the same category as "Bone" and "Sparks: An Urban Fairytale", for fun story-telling, great art, strong female protagonists, and sly humor. Also recommended for anyone who liked "Thief of Time" or "Something Wicked This Way Comes" as a kid.

Outstanding New Fable With Pretty Much The Full Crumrin Cast
Reprinting the third four-issue miniseries starring adorable young curmudgeon Courtney Crumrin and her excellent cast of co-stars, "In The Twilight Kingdom" manages to come very, very close to its predecessor "Courtney Crumrin And The Coven Of Mystics", which I consider to be one of the greatest comic arcs ever published. The first issue reprinted here is a bit atypical for the Crumrin ...

There are, however, mutated monsters living in the dead cities and infesting the desert like vermin. And people are just trying to survive. We meet Michael, a loner who walks the wastes, and has been doing so for a very long time (which, in ...
