The How-To Book of the Mass: Everything You Need to Know but No One Ever Taught You 50 reviews Michael Dubruiel
Our Sunday Visitor, 2007
A concise and well-written overview of the Mass I converted to Catholicism 4 years ago and still found many things clarified and/or pointed out in this book. It is well done and I highly recommend. In fact, I've shared with our Deacon and RCIA director for their use.

The New Catholic Answer Bible: The New American Bible 21 reviews
Our Sunday Visitor, 2005
Catholic Answer Bible is a great resource I purchased the New Catholic Answer Bible to seek answers to many of the tenets of the Catholic faith. This Bible has greatly exceeded my expectations. It is so well organized that I can read the passages of the Bible and then quickly go on to the explanatory notes with ease. This Bible not only provides what I needed regarding the words of the Bible itself, but is like getting a history ...

Little Acts of Grace 8 reviews Rosemarie Gortler, Donna Piscitelli
Our Sunday Visitor, 2002
sweet, fun, and informative It's a great little book that my 4 year olds enjoy and it instructs them about little things to do to honor God, like kneeling before the tabernacle. It's also informative for my 13 year old who wants to know "why" we do these things. The 4 year olds pick it often as a bedtime book.

The Mass Book for Children 5 reviews Rosemarie Gortler, Donna Piscitelli
Our Sunday Visitor, 2004
Mice at Mass?! With grace and charm, Gortler and Piscitelli once again draw preschoolers into the heart of the Catholic faith. This book is a bit more (and necessarily so) complex than their earlier books for young people, Little Acts of Grace and Just Like Mary.
I would suggest beginning with Little Acts of Grace, moving onto Just Like Mary, and then reading The Mass Book for Children. Then pray that ...

They also break the book down into months of the year to develope awareness of the events and signifigance of each month. The reading materials and activities are ...

The Mass of the Early Christians 17 reviews Mike Aquilina
Our Sunday Visitor, 2007
Compelling Through the use of primary sources with minimum interjection of commentary, Mr. Aquilina provides a compelling account of the early mass. It is a challenge to the idea of a primitive and simplistic church model that instead shows us how well-formed the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist were very early in the church. From the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist to the ...

My Daily Catholic Bible: Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition 20-Minute Daily Readings 15 reviews
Our Sunday Visitor, 2004
Excellent! I really love the format of this Bible. It makes it so easy to find time to read the Bible! Basically, it takes away ALL excuses. There is a place to mark off each reading, so I sometimes split it up into two readings...one in the morning and one in the evening.
The only thing that I would change about it, is I would add an index so that you can use it to find a particular book of the Bible. ...

Where Is That In the Bible? 23 reviews Patrick Madrid
Our Sunday Visitor, 1999
Handy Weapon On The Religious Battlefield I joined the Catholic Church at Easter in 2000. I used to be a Baptist/Congregational/Bible Church Protestant. With my past and my present, I'm one of those people who's literally been on both sides of the fence in the "who's right, who's wrong" debate. Patrick Madrid, a favorite apologist of mine, compiled this wonderful little "fieldguide" to Catholicism that takes major Catholic beliefs and ...

A Pocket Guide to The Meaning of Life (Pocket Guide Series) 3 reviews Peter Kreeft
Our Sunday Visitor, 2007
Put it in your pocket! If any writer today can squeeze the meaning of life into a small 64 page booklet, the popular and prolific author Peter Kreeft can! The book is short, brief, almost laconic. One can throw it into the purse or even the pocket. And yet, the Pocket Guide to the Meaning of Life has it all: the truth of who we are, why we are here, where we are going, and how to get there.
The book is laid out in a ...

Divine intervention? I was sent this book instead of the book that I ordered. Since I am in the biggest spiritual slump of my life I am guessing that "someone" must think I need the inspiration of Mother Teresa. From what I have read so far, I am very excited to have recieved it.

The Fathers Pope Benedict XVI
Our Sunday Visitor, 2008
Let us now devote our attention to the Apostolic Fathers, that is, to the first and second generations in the Church subsequent to the Apostles. And thus, we can see where the Church's journey begins in history. Pope Benedict XVI The Fathers of the Church exhorted believers in the face of persecution while fighting heresies and misunderstandings. They were theologians and philosophers, orators and pastors, leaders and problem solvers, martyrs ...
