Can't wait for the rest of the Myron Bolitar series to be published for Kindle
Currently this is the only one of the Myron Bolitar series that has been published for the Kindle, and therefore the only one I've read. I'm hooked. I hope the rest of Harlan Coben's novels will be published for Kindles because he is clearly one of my favorite authors.

Kinda all over the place, but in a good way.
Much more complex plot line than other Coben novels I've read to date but still very enjoyable. Granted I listened to the Audio, so perhaps sitting down and reading it could have been a bit cumbersome and like navigating a labyrinth. Therefore I strongly recommend it as a mystery novel on audio format.

Loved the treasure hunt
Shakespearean scholar and theater director Kate Stanley hasn't seen Rosalind Howard in over three years and they didn't part amicably-so why is Roz asking for Kate's help now? Roz, a well-known Shakespearean scholar and professor, says she has made a discovery that is extremely important and that Kate is the only one who can help her. She gives Kate a small box and asks Kate to meet her later ...

An Odyssey to Enjoy
Cussler continues to be the master story teller. This book had a far ranging plot that keeps you engaged all the way to the end.

An intriguing book
I had a hard time putting this book down. I found it entertaining. I did not see all the connections between Sickert and Jack the Ripper, but there are many. I do not know all the facts, but she certainly did alot of research. This case will never be fully closed until DNA testing gets better and by then any samples will likely be too degraded.

Simple Plot with Complex Twists
Harlan Coben has yet to disappoint me. The Innocent is really not an overly complex plot, yet at the same time it offered depth that really kept me interested. The characters have complex personalities and the plot twists, as with all of Coben's books that I've read, continue to surprise the reader.

Great read that makes you think
This is a great book. 5 stars. It makes you look inside yourself and think about your life's goals, destiny, the destination where your life's flow is taking you, are you on a right track, are you in charge of your own life, what makes you happy and unhappy, mother-daughter relationship, etc. The ending is a positive one, it gives hope, but at the same time it's not a typical Hollywood-style ...

An excellent piece of epistemology!
On page 3, the narrator (not Marlow) tells us that "Marlow was not typical (if his propensity to spin yarns be excepted), and to him the meaning of an episode was not inside like a kernel but outside, enveloping the tale which brought it out only as a glow brings out a haze, in the likeness of one of these misty halos that sometimes are made visible by the spectral illumination of moonshine." ...

Plenty of food onboard.
I am reading the Oregon files out of order, making it all the more fun for me. Here are some quick observations: The best of the bunch, hands down, is "Plague Ship"; in that novel, Juan Cabrillo's prosthetic limb is mentioned more than once, and yet there's no mention of it in "Sacred Stone"; there are way too many characters in these books to effectively keep track of even with the lists at the ...

I'm Not An Espionage Fan...
...but I'm a big fan of the work of Charles McCarry. This is the best flat-out adventure novel he's ever written and it's obvious that he had a great time doing it. Oddly enough, in all the good reviews this novel has received, there has been very little praise given to the humor it contains. 'Old Boys' is not only beautifully written, well-plotted and marvelously paced, it's very ...

Stunning
I have read pretty much every spy novel ever written. This one needs just a few words - it is one of the masterpieces of the genre, right up there with A Coffin for Demetrios, Dark Star, early Le Carre and a few others. In fact, I found the work so brilliant that I wrote Mr. Littell a letter about it, and got a personal reply! Pretty unexpected in this day of corporate writing and boilerplate ...

I loved it
I read this book in two days - I couldn't put it down. It was entertaining from start to finish. I laughed out loud a couple of times. After I read the back of the book I wasn't expecting a masterpiece. I wanted to read something that was faced-paced and very entertaining. This book delivered.

Couldn't Put it Down
The story starts out in the United States with a failed attempt on the President's life. It evolves from there with the who, how, why of how the plan was foiled. The story continues across the ocean with the original plotters upset at having their plans destroyed. This book is well written, keeps the reader in suspense, has intrigue, would be terrorists, heroes in wheelchairs, former IRA members, ...

Fascinating blend of philosophy, morality and historic fiction.
Like probably nothing else, the breakdown of social order forces us to reach into ourselves, to draw for guidance on our innermost beliefs and moral values; for absent direction by the established rules of society, we only have ourselves to turn to for advice. - Such is the situation in which find themselves this book's three protagonists: Manlius Hippomanes, Olivier de Noyen and Julien Barneuve; ...

Rumination on Overpopulation
In the 1970s, many science fiction writers (Asimov included) were concerned about overpopulation, and it's effects on the planet. Make Room Make Room is Harry Harrison's take on this world gone amuck. The book is Science Fiction at it's best - not just technology as a background, but science as a premise. Outstanding reading by one of the grand masters of the genre. Perhaps the book received ...

Another Great Book by this Author
While I am a huge Steve Martini fan, I was a little concerned when I read the dust jacket blurb about this book. I'm not a big fan of military thriller style books, and from the description, it appeared that he had moved closer to that genre than to the legal mystery category. However, judging books by their covers can be very deceptive, and this proved true with this book. This is a wonderful ...
