I have little to add to the helpful reviews here but just wish to inform readers: Michael Hoffman's superb translation is now available in the US - ASIN 1862076057 - and is the best translation of this wonderful work.

Forget 1984 or Brave New World
No need for Orwell or Huxley. If you're interested in dystopian science fiction, then this is your bag.
