These lectures by Enrico Fermi make great reading for undergraduates in chemistry or physics, particularly those undergoing the rigors of physical chemistry and chemical thermodynamics. A classic
Even though this book is quite old, it still applies in the 21st century. Some of the case studies written 30 years ago have played out over time exactly as the author predicted making this a better book than a more recently written one. I highly recommend this as a book that will last longer than the "new economy".

One of the greatest books of all time.
I read this book when I was in high school, and it changed the way I interact with animals, and my outlook on life. I couldn't find it until I looked for it on Amazon.com. 25 years later, it still inspires me the way it did then. Now I'm excited to share it with everyone I meet. It teaches the unconditional love of animals for the humans who are willing to share their lives with them and ...
Rickenbacker: An Autobiography

Edward V. Rickenbacker

Great Book
This is one of my favorite books of all time. The autobiography of a true American Hero. From being Ace of Aces in WWI, surviving on a life raft in WWII, racing cars, running an airline. What an amazing story. Some of his political views are rather dated (and even objectionable), but the story of his life is truly amazing and inspiring.

A Classic
Do you like scientific notebooks? I do. My first one was a book that I bought from Radio Shack called "The Engineers Notebook". It was packed with tables, schematics, drawings and explaniatory text. There was just enough information there to make something happen, and start you on your way towards understanding the science involved. Gosh, I love Scientific Notebooks. This is a classic ...

The GREATEST Guidebook for Venice EVER
I received this guidebook as a gift in 1992, and wandered all over Venice, reading it for 10 days. It's one of the finest guidebooks I've ever read, with helpful maps, organized by neighborhoods, and much, much information that will make your trip to Venice, even richer than you expected it would be. Venice is about mystery, it's about people, and it's about finding yourself. You'll do ...

The Secret of Perfect Living
This book seeks to personally empower an individual in taking control in all aspects of their life. It hits that point quite well and supplies you with a list of "Switch Words" you will be able to use in your day to day living. Like NLP, this is such a small way to change your life in such a really big way. Would recommend this book for anyone looking for the answers as to how to effect ...

This Book Is An Adventure!
I can't remember now how I first became acquainted with this book - but it must have been more than 20 years ago when I first read it and it has remained one of my favorites. J. Allen Boone's unfailing good spirits, his enthusiasm for life, and his excitement about adventures - both physical and mental - are an inspiration. I was going to call him an optimist - but "optimist" doesn't really go ...

Shows You How To Get Results With Your Words
I first got this book when Jay Abraham recommended it to me. It was a revelation! I began to realize that there is a real difference in the outcome affected by words. That may seem obvious when you read it but it wasn't obvious, in a practical sense, to me at the time. It showed me actual phrases used by actual sales people and how a smart choice in words could mean a BIG difference in the ...

UNUSUAL AND CREEPY!!!
Checked this book out in our local library about five years ago and I must say, this book is as good as any Jeff Long book or Dean Koonz book. This book literally gave me the creeps. In fact it was so good I am going to purchase a copy for myself off of Amazon. The story is very unusual in that it is unlike anything I have ever read before. Far fetched but at the same time scares the daylights ...

A Necessary book for any woman
This book is above phenomenal. It speaks to women of all ages in all backgrounds and all relationships as long as they are willing to listen. I cannot impress upon you enought that this book is foundational and desperately needed. In lieu of the feminist revolution that has destroyed the very gentle spirit of femininity and noble womanhood, this book has touched my very core. It will help you ...

In the introduction to this edition, Anthony Janson (whose father, H.W.
