Recite a Memorable Story at night
My son who is 2 3/4 yo loves this story so much that we recite it at night. I tell parts of it, and he chimes in with what he remembers. The first few times we did it, he remembered parts I didn't remember! Very easy read. I wish there were more books like this! I do caution that it gives away the story.

WALL-E (Little Golden Book)23 reviews

one of our night time stories
I have 2 boys 2 1/2 and 1 1/2. They love the Wall-E movie and now this book too! We read it all the time it is almost always included in our bedtime reading. It is fun for them to "read" it to you as well. They get to use their imagination and fill in some of the details that are not in the book. So overall well worth the money.

A favorite for a 22 month old
My son picks out books for me to read before he goes to sleep, he always picks this as one of them. He knows each of the car names and can "read" what each page says. I put "read" in quotes because he has each sentence memorized. Regardless, I'm impressed! So if I point at the words "Old Car" he'll say it, but when I point to the car, he'll say "Mater" The pictures are renderings vs ...

Mater's Tall Tales (Cars Toon)9 reviews
RH Disney

RH/Disney, 2009

Who doesn't love Mater?
My son is obsessed with Cars, and constantly asks to watch the Mater's Tall Tales TV shorts. How much better is it to read them instead! The artwork is lovely (taken right from the digital versions, rather than artist's renderings), the story is simplified but to the point, and Mater is charming as always. Great little collection of stories.

The books in each set - and some info on 'order'
Great books! We have been reading these to our kindergartener as bedtime chapter books. She's currently reading at a mid/late 1st grade level. I'm not sure whether she could read these on her own yet (I tend to think the length/complexity might be a bit daunting), but she's been loving having us read them to her. Because it has taken a LOT of searching for me to figure out exactly which books ...

Fun book, tells a complete story
My 3.5 yr old son loves this book. It tells a condensed version of the Finding Nemo story, and his favorite part is the last page where "Nemo loves his dad and his dad loves him." My son gives me (his dad) a special hug.

The Big Blue: Finding Nemo Reusable Sticker Book1 review
Random House Disney

RH/Disney, 2003

Nemo stickers, not so reusable
If your kids like stickers, then this is a nice set of stickers from the movie. But the reusable part is slightly misleading. After moving them more than twice, they don't stick very well, and they are only reusable if you stick them on the book's specially coated pages. I've found many kids expect stickers to stay stuck and sometimes get frustrated with this style of book. What kids love ...

Pooh Friends to Play With
This "book" is a paper doll set minus the clothes. Pooh and all his friends from the hundred-acre wood are included. (Christopher Robin, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo and Gopher). Punch them out, put on the stands and your child is ready to go. The outer cover of the book has a scene of the hundred acre woods to use as background. My almost-three-year-old is in the middle of ...
