Cooking with Wine 1 review Fiona Beckett
RYLAND PETERS & SMAL, 2005
Cooking with wine! I purchased this as a birthday gift for my "significant other". He is a gourmet cook and had talked about this book for sometime. I only hoped I could get it for him before he purchased it himself! We have only tried a few recipes from this book. They were GREAT! Hope to get through the whole book someday.

Grasses and Bamboos 1 review Noel Kingsbury
RYLAND PETERS & SMAL, 2000
Great pics & ideas, but short on substance This is a pretty little book with great pictures and some very usable ideas for how to get started with grasses and bamboos in the garden. (Started, here, is the operative word.) All the photos are well labeled and there is an OK plant directory in the back. HOWEVER... If you have much experience or knowledge of grasses and bamboos, this book will be quite disappointing. It's more like an ...

Detox for Life 1 review Josephine Collins
RYLAND PETERS & SMAL, 2006
a great book to give or keep!! This is a great book!! It is basic & simple, divided into four catergories:how to detox your mind, body, relationship, and space. I like it because it's not"preachy" about balancing whatever part of your life you need to balance. It is nicely photographed too. I got this book for myself and another to give to my sister.Wishing everyone peace & harmony and you will be after you read this book!!!

Peaceful Gardens 2 reviews Stephanie Donaldson
RYLAND PETERS & SMAL, 2006
Peaceful Gardens: Transform Your Garden into a Haven ... This is a beautifully inspirational book. It is a wonderful "place" to retreat on a cold or rainy day, or enjoy on the porch when the days are sunny and warm. Even if my gardens are never transformed into the relaxing beauty of those presented, it will remain what I call a "daydream" book. Truly enjoyable and relaxing.

Waterside Living 2 reviews Leslie Geddes-Brown
RYLAND PETERS & SMAL, 2006
Beautful book! Wonderful Book! I have the hardcover and it makes a nice coffee table book. Nicely and abundantly illustrated. The homes are truly inspirational and not just million dollar mansions that most of us could only dream of someday having. Lots of tips and decorating ideas that you can actually use. My favorite section is Beachside Living. I love the beach. On page 152 the owner actually used a giant ...

Flea Market Style 7 reviews Emily Chalmers
RYLAND PETERS & SMAL, 2005
Very Inspiring! I live in suburbia, in a newer development where all the homes pretty much look the same. I am always on the look-out for creative ideas on decorating because I don't want my interior to look like it stepped out of one of the well-known home decor stores and catalogs. This book was an inspiring find! Lots of pictures and informative text...I have looked at the pictures over and over again. ...

New Vegetarian 5 reviews Celia Brooks Brown
RYLAND PETERS & SMAL, 2005
Addictive, Delicious Vegetarian Food to impress friends I 1st borrowed this from the Library and have tried to make at least one recipe from books I borrow. I am a newbe to Vegetarian food and found this book so addictive. After making some of the recipes from this book I am totally convinced that a great vegetarian meal can be 10x tastier and better for you than a meat one. I loved this book so much that I ended up buying it as I'm now constantly ...

Vintage Fabric Style 7 reviews Lucinda Ganderton
RYLAND PETERS & SMAL, 2005
Rethink Your Use of Fabrics I needed the ideas in this book to use the vintage lace that I'd collected and the stacks of old quilts hidden away in the closet. These were things that attracted me at flea markets and yard sales, but then I had trouble working them into my decor.
The idea of hanging antique clothing on the wall like a piece of art really appeals.
This is a great book for any fabric-aholic out there.

Beautifully photographed with great ideas I love this book! As an avid junk collector (much to the humour of my family!) I found this book to become one of my favourites. I have read this book so many times- there are just so many inspiring pictures in this book. The book contains many different interiors and all different types of junk style. A great book.

Bread 2 reviews Linda Collister
RYLAND PETERS & SMAL, 2005
This book will enable anyone to achieve perfect breads As a keen experienced amateur chef I have occasionally over the years tried turning my hand to bread baking, but with discouragingly poor results. However about 3 months ago I began scouring the internet for information; downloading various recipes plus notes on using the correct types of flour etc, and within about a month I was achieving good results and had at last acquired the basic feel for ...

Passion for Lingerie 3 reviews Jo Blackburn
RYLAND PETERS & SMAL, 2005
Just cute! My expectations were not fulfilled in terms of quality information. With a poetic mood you will find some vague and brief descriptions of different types of lingerie.
However, the photographs are really good, has a lovely cover and in the end is a cute little book that looks great in you nightable!

Pick the Right Wine Every Time 1 review Chris Losh
RYLAND PETERS & SMAL, 2005
British perspective for beginning wine lovers In this well-illustrated hardcover book, Losh gives the British
perspective on choosing an appropriate wine (or sherry) for many
common wine drinking occasions.
Wine and food pairing categories include the mid-week supper, the
relaxing drink for Friday evening, the barbeque, the fancy Sunday
lunch (more on that in the next paragraph), the dinner party, the
anniversary, Thanksgiving and ...

Table Settings 1 review Emily Chalmers
RYLAND PETERS & SMAL, 2005
This Book Should Be $5.00 This book is so small that I can't believe it. And, it's not very inspirational either. The photos are small and the print is even smaller. I don't recommend this book.
