Brer Rabbit and Boss Lion1 review
Brad Kessler, Joel Chandler Harris

Rabbit Ears, 1996

A great resource for storytelling!
I have read this book to my 3rd grade students and they love the illustrations. I also used it as a springboard for telling the story of Brer Rabbit and Boss Lion without using the book. My students enjoyed a storytelling performance of the Brer Rabbit tales as well as reading the book...

the product details listed here are WRONG!!!!!!!!
The photo and barcode for this video are actually for a RARE CBS PLAYHOUSE presentation from 1988 starring STEVE GUTTENBERG and my very favorite actress, the beautiful and very talented REBECCA DE MORNAY; Roy Rogers & Co. are great, but they had NOTHING AT ALL to do with this video: so, whoever it was at AMAZON.COM who put these details in this listing are simply mistaken: this is a ...

How the Leopard Got His Spots (Rabbit Ears Storybook Classics)1 review
Rudyard Kipling

Rabbit Ears, 1993

A Wonderful Time!
Danny Glover reads this, and I enjoyed it as much (maybe more) than my daughter. This book and "How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin" sold us on Rabbit Ears audiobooks - we now have about a dozen. Get the full size so the child can follow the text easier and you can both enjoy the illustrations.

Reflections of the Old World Through Washington Irving's Tales
Indeed, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and "Rip Van Winkle" are the capstone stories to THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW AND OTHER STORIES, OR THE SKETCH BOOK OF GEOFFREY CRAYON, GENT. However, it is the other 32 essays and short stories that are the jewel to the Modern Library Classics'edition of Washington Irving's most widely read literary tales. Through the psyeudonyms of Diedrich Knickenbacker ...

How the Camel Got His Hump (Children's Classics from the Stars)1 review
Rudyard Kipling, Bobby McFerrin

Rabbit Ears, 1989

Excellent story for both children and adults to enjoy.
This story has a great moral to it as well as being very entertaining and interesting to both children and adults. The plus side of the cassette is that Jack Nicholson tells it in such a way that everyone will enjoy listening to it over and over again. The illustrations are perfect to fit the story and are great at intriguing the children. We have had this story through both of our sons and ...

THE GINGHAM DOT AND THE CALICO CAT, CD

A spirited telling by grammy winner Amy Grant and an exuberant musical score by guitar legend Chet Atkins combine perfectly in this heartwarming story about two Christmas presents who fall out of Santa's sleigh and, through their example of love foe each other, bring harmony to an entire family.

Brer Rabbit and the Wonderful Tar Baby3 reviews
Joel Chandler Harris

Rabbit Ears, 1992

Absolutely enchanting!
My children love this recording and take turns playing "Brer Rabbit" and "Brer Fox." I am personally enthralled by Danny Glover's masterful reading of this story. It is easy to imagine yourself around a fire alongside a slow moving river while you are listening. A resounding well-done to everyone who put this one together!
