50 Ways to Please Your Lover1 review
Lonnie Garfield Barbach

Time Warner Paperbacks, 1998

This book offers couples a chance to "cut loose"!
I really enjoyed reading all the different scenarios and suggestions the author had to offer. I have actually "performed" a few of the tidbits and had a blast doing it. My husband enjoyed it as well. It opened up my sexuality gate and let me enjoy myself without feeling weird or nasty. Some of the stories, although maybe a bit over the edge, were great to read outloud! Nothing like a ...

84 Charing Cross Road95 reviews
H. Hanff

Time Warner Paperbacks, 1993

This Book Captured My Heart
In less than one hundred pages, Helene Hanff has given her readers a rare and special gift. Here in this delightful little book are the notes she exchanged with the employees of Marks & Co., a used-book store in England. Being fond of the old-fashioned yet still highly personal act of letter writing, and being equally fond of old books and used-book stores, Hanff seemed to have compiled these ...

96 Tears2 reviews
Doug J. Swanson

Time Warner Paperbacks, 1997

The very best Jack Flippo yet
Swanson hits his stride with this third Jack Flippo novel: good characters, good plot twist, good language. Recommended if you like this genre; this book will hold your attention and there are no "down" moments. Swanson keeps you -- and Jack -- moving. Buy it for someone you love, then borrow it.

Act of Violence4 reviews
Margaret Yorke

Time Warner Paperbacks, 2003

A chillingly terrific novel
The worst crime in the small village of Middleburgh and its surrounding towns is an occasional disorderly conduct by someone who imbibed a bit too much. However, everything radically changes when Daniel Stewart is murdered trying to end a schoolboy brawl. The villagers are all shocked, none more so than solicitor Oliver Foxton. The victim's son plans to avenge his father's untimely death. ...

Acts of Love12 reviews
Judith Michael

Time Warner Paperbacks, 1998

Way too dialog heavy!
I read Inheritance written by this husband and wife team a few years ago and truly enjoyed it. Deceptions was also a good read, and I followed that with Pot of Gold, entertaining as well. I felt Acts of Love was terrible by comparison! Pages and pages of dialog that dragged on without getting to the point. I finished this book but getting motivated to do so was a real challenge.

Then a mountain climbing accident left him paralyzed from the waist down. Lilah Mason was his nemesis long before the unfortunate accident. They simply rubbed each other the wrong way since the first time they met. Lilah despised Adam's lifestyle, and the dislike ...

After Dark1 review
Phillip M. Margolin

Time Warner Paperbacks, 1996

gruesomely entertaining!
I stumbled upon this book when I was in England in 1996. I wasn't reading for pleasure much, but I couldn't put this book down. The story is so good, I think it's the only book I've gone back to time and again. Supposedly there is going to be a movie done by Ewan Mcgregor's movie company. I would love to see that. I can't help but imagine how cool it would be done with a soundtrack of My ...

Act of God18 reviews
Susan R. Sloan

Time Warner Paperbacks, 2003

An Explosive, Psychological Courtroom Thriller!
At 2:00 PM on a chilly, overcast afternoon, the first Tuesday in February, The Seattle Family Services Center shuddered on its foundation and exploded with a sound that shook the city. An extremist's bomb had killed almost 200 men, women and children. For more than half a century the Seattle clinic had provided full family services to the community, including multilevel family counseling, ...
