What I really like about the USSA certification series is how much information they pack into a very readable, high retention format (like a good Dummies book). If you don't know how to read a chart, this book is for you. It has comprehensive information necessary to learn about coastal navigation. Not a good replacement for actually being on the water and seeing the things charts show but a good book for the basics.
