The Chase (Wheeler Large Print Book Series) 96 reviews Clive Cussler
Wheeler Publishing, 2007
A thrill ride to the end I have read 5 Clive Cussler novels, most involving Dirk Pitt and the NUMA files and The Chase is far and away the best of the lot. Cussler does an excellent job with pace, a compelling story, believable characters with superb dialog and descriptions that transport you into the story. Set in 1906, the plot follows the exploits of the notorious Butcher Bandit who robs banks and leaves a trail of ...

Rhett Butler's People (Wheeler Large Print Book Series) 192 reviews Donald McCaig
Wheeler Publishing, 2008
Best book about Rhett and Scarlett since Gone With The Wind It is no wonder why it took so long to get this book created and why Margaret Mitchell's people chose McCaig to write this book, it is every bit what I would want in a book about Rhett and Scarlett. I read Alexandra Ripley's Scarlett and was greatly disappointed in that book. I was hesitant about this book and began it with harsh criticism but ended the book at 4 am because it was just too hard ...

Those Pearly Gates: A Homegrown Novel 4 reviews Julie Cannon
Wheeler Publishing, 2005
Those Pearly Gates is divine! If you enjoy Jan Karon's Mitford Series, you'll love Julie Cannon's Homegrown Series! (Truelove and Homegrown Tomatoes, 'Mater Biscuit, and newly released Those Pearly Gates). The three-book anthology is brimming with the succinct elements that give southern writing its rich texture and charm: sumptuous food, a strong sense of place, ties to the local parsonage, an eccentric character (or two!), ...

The Secret Servant (Wheeler Large Print Book Series) 89 reviews Daniel Silva
Wheeler Publishing, 2007
"SUPERB" Superb...excellent..Electrifying and the scarest book I have ever read. Mr. Silva has become the standard on which suspense novels will be judged. Not since Robert Ludlums, Bourne Identity has an author captured my mind and heart. This novel needs to be read by every adult in USA and Europe.........what are we doing? 6 stars ******

The Legend of the Painted Horse 5 reviews Harry Combs
Wheeler Publishing, 1997
Comments by William Haskett I think that the Painted Horse tied Combs two previous works together well. It answered alot of the situations in the earlier books. I found it to have a superb plot all the way through. I wonder if there is any connection between Harry Combs and the character he writes about.

Retirement Homes Are Murder 7 reviews Mike Befeler
Wheeler Publishing, 2007
Very entertaining! Yes, it's a murder mystery, but I kept finding myself chuckling out loud! I just finished the book last night, and it's got all of the elements of a wonderful story - unforgettable characters, humor, geriatric sex, and of course an intriguing mystery. I sure hope there will be a follow-up to this story.

SUBLIME Unbelievably, pant-wettingly funny. His take on apple-picking is one of the most beautifully structured comic essays in history, and his experiences in a nudist colony are brilliant. Sedaris is a god. A god!

The Tin Roof Blowdown (Wheeler Large Print Book Series) 113 reviews James Lee Burke
Wheeler Publishing, 2007
Marlowe of the Bayou I was attracted to this book, my first Dave Robicheaux novel, by the promise of its unsparing examination of Katrina and its aftermath and by the two Edgar Awards the series has collected. The book keeps the promise.
James Lee Burke is the Raymond Chandler of the South and Robicheaux is his Marlowe, half a century later and indigenous to a different classic American city. Like Marlowe, ...
