Sams Teach Yourself Web Publishing with HTML and CSS in One Hour a Day (5th Edition) (Sams Teach Yourself) 7 reviews Laura Lemay, Rafe Colburn
Sams, 2006
Good beginner text for learning HTML and CSS I purchased this book for a college course I am taking titled "Web Design and Development". The instructor chose the the textbook but it is well written and has numerous examples of good web site and page design. Gets into some of the more advanced features of creating web pages using XHTML and CSS. I would recommend this book for a beginning web programmer or administrator.

There Are No Shortcuts 80 reviews Rafe Esquith
Anchor, 2004
Awesome book, Awesome person! As a teacher, I highly reccomend Rafe's first book. His life story is truly inspiring and encouraging for those of us in the trenches of the classroom. I think it is a mistake to criticize his way of life or dedication, but rather look at your own situation, and see what you can learn from his experience. For instance, I applied his economic system (discussed in detail in the book) and my ...

The Rough-Face Girl 26 reviews Rafe Martin
Putnam Juvenile, 1998
Can you see him? "Wretched" might be the biggest difference between the Algonquin Indian Cinderella and European Cinderellas. Over 1500 versions have been collected throughout the world. They have in common the themes that justice will prevail and evil will be punished. These are the common denominators, no matter where the story may be set.
"The Rough-Face Girl" takes place along the shores of Lake Ontario. ...

Taming Rafe (Noble Legacy Series #2) 13 reviews Susan May Warren
Tyndale House Publishers, 2007
Must Read Taming Rafe is a book you won't want to put down, and it is a book you will want to go back and
read again. In fact I want to go back and read Nick's story again. Susan May Warren does a fantastic
job of adding other story lines to the already interesting story of Rafe. This is a must read.

Teach Like Your Hair's on Fire: The Methods and Madness Inside Room 56 69 reviews Rafe Esquith
Viking Adult, 2007
Teach like your hair is on fire This book is enjoyable and very easy reading. The stories are delightful, and there are great take-away lessons for teachers. The book is geared more for elementary school teachers, but as a high school teacher, I found it useful.

The Full Tilt Poker Strategy Guide: Tournament Edition 26 reviews Andy Bloch, Richard Brodie, ...
Grand Central Publishing, 2007
Please don't read this book In the world of poker literature, no limit hold em advice dries up and becomes useless pretty quickly these days. One year after its release, this underrated and underread book still holds advice that has yet to find its way into most tournaments. Almost every chapter regarding NLHE offers insights into the game that blows almost everything else away. Dare I say it, I think it even makes HOH ...

Sams Teach Yourself Web Publishing with HTML & XHTML in 21 Days (4th Edition) (Sams Teach Yourself) 10 reviews Laura Lemay, Rafe Colburn
Sams, 2003
For both beginners and experts I've taught HTML and e-commerce at the university level for about a decade now. This book is the best I have found. I use it as my personal reference. I require it for my classes.
It covers the essentials. It gives clear examples. It is organized in a logical order that works. It can be used by someone who has never tried to build a web page, and also has enough 'meat' so that those ...

Taming Rafe 17 reviews Suzanne Enoch
Avon, 1999
O.M.G. -- Possibly THE best romance I've read to date I would love nothing more than to give this book way more than 5 stars, but Amazon won't allow it, so I'll do my best to extole its virtues.
When Julia Quinn, Amazon reviewers, or anyone says that Rafe Bancroft is the ultimate romance hero, they are NOT kidding.
I think it would be impossible to not adore & admire him.
This was truly HIS book. Yes, there is a heroine (Felicity), but
even ...

The Outlaws: Rafe (Outlaws) 15 reviews Connie Mason
Leisure Books, 2000
A winner! Rafe Gentry and his two brothers, Jess and Sam, were wrongly accused of bank robbery. Pursued by a posse, the three Gentry brothers quickly packed a few items from home and split up, each riding off into different directions. On the exact date next year they were to meet at the Antlers Hotel in Denver. This book is Rafe's story. He came upon a stagecoach robbery. He frightened off the outlaws, ...

Sams, 2001
The definitive beginners XHTML guide I picked up this book in March, 2002 with no prior knowledge of HTML. In less than three weeks I learned how to create good-looking web pages, featuring Cascading Style Sheets, in XHTML (the latest revision of HTHL). This book is simply outstanding. Laura Lemay presents the markup language in a clear, easy-to-understand manner with excellent, real-world examples. You need no prior programming ...

Your Life is Waiting: The Average Joe's Guide to Overcoming Panic Attacks and Anxiety 3 reviews Rafe R. Martin
AuthorHouse, 2007
Panic attacks are getting better This is a great book for me because I can relate to the author. Some of the things he describes are exactly what I'm feeling. I'm using the approach he describes when fighting off a panic attack. It's getting easier to deal with panic attacks now. I'm looking forward to the day when panic attacks will be gone forever. Thanks for sharing your story.

The Shark God 4 reviews Rafe Martin
Arthur A. Levine Books, 2001
My 6 year old son loves this story!!! My son picked "The Shark God" as a reward for a reading challenge at his elementary school. He has requested this story be read and reread to him multitudes of times and has yet to tire of it. The story provides him a glimpse into a culture that he would not otherwise get. When we get to the page featuring the shark god, my son's eyes are big with awe. I like how Rafe Martin made changes to ...

The Brave Little Parrot 2 reviews Rafe Martin
Putnam Juvenile, 1998
A profound message for children and adults I can't speak highly enough of this book. Although endearing to children, its message is profound for all ages: If something is important to you, act, no matter what the odds of success. You never know what the outcome might be, or who might be inspired by your action. I remember "The Brave Little Parrot" when I think I can't be bothered to put a sign in my yard, write a senator, or speak out on ...

Birdwing 19 reviews Rafe Martin
Scholastic Paperbacks, 2007
Beautiful and magical - a special book (but not meant for everyone) Birdwing is an interesting story. It is based on the Brothers Grimm story The Six Swans. Six brothers are turned into swans. Their sister remains silent for six years to save them. When she does, the youngest brother's left arm remains a wing. That's where the Grimm story ends and Birdwing begins.
This is a story of adventure, self-realization and kindness. It moves at a steady pace with just ...
