Great Art Work
I like the pictures in this book. The book made me wonder what goat-water stew and guavas are. I wonder if people still live on Montserrat since the volcano erupted. I wish I could go there to swim, fish, and visit the market. I am 6 1/2 years old.

A Voice for the children of the world
I will say what a second grade teacher told me about my book: "I was raised in a blended family, I am a step mother, and each day I teach students who are from mixed ethnic backgrounds. I applaud you for addressing this for our children. Thank you for stepping out and being a voice for all of the children in the world. I pray that you are successful in what you are doing. The right way to learn!
This is a fantastic textbook for learning criminology. I took an online college class with this text and it was so helpful and easy to learn from. The text gets right to the point of things and provides the perfect examples to help one learn the thoeries of criminology. I suggest this book for anyone who plans on taking a criminology class, online or off.

Loved it!
This is a wonderful book! The perspective of this story from Orville & Wilbur's little sister, Katherine, is unique and charming. The book reads really well out loud for all ages, and should be a perfect read-by-myself book for a 3rd,4th or 5th grade reader. And the beautiful illustrations, by Jim Burke, set a perfect tone and feel throughout the book. I highly recommend this one!

Fond memories
This book was the most enjoyed book by my children when they were small. We checked it out of the public library over and over again because my girls could not hear this story enought times. My daughter is about to leave for college and I want to get her a copy to remind her of the great times we had when sharing the story. She is 17 years old and to this day she says that that is the ...

Meditations on the struggle and the answers
Excellent Christian poetry. Joy speaks of heart issues that we, especially women, deal with. She doesn't stop with identifying the areas of struggle, but completes the circle by leading us to Christ where the answers are. Makes a great gift especially high school age and up.

Hysterical and bittersweet
When you get right down to it, is there anything better than Calvin & Hobbes? In this compilation or any of the others, you get lessons in quantum physics, nostalgic looks at the agony of grade school, observations in human nature, and a bit of the "thing under the bed" style horror. All this and you'll laugh yourself to the point of wetting your pants. The Calvin & Hobbes strips are hysterical. ...

Caps for Sale is Timeless
This is a book I loved as a child. It was originally written and illustrated by Esphyr Slobodkina before WWII and obviously takes place in a European village. It tells the story of a peddler who sells caps, so instead of carrying his wares on his back, he wears them on his head, hats pilled as tall as he is. Our peddler has to walk very straight (we tell Devon to walk straight like the hat man ...

Inspiration for being where you are
Growing up in and around ashrams, trying to quiet the mind, getting in and out of rhythms of shorter to longer daily meditation sittings, encountering the internal and external pressures and influences around these patterns, gaining and losing what I think Kent calls "spiritual vanity" are all common issues for spiritual aspirants. Kent's surprisingly personal, humerous, honest accounts of all ...

Perfect for class crafts
I love this booklet! I bought it years ago when I was an assistant, and have used it ever since to make up critters for my students as Christmas gifts, Easter gifts, or end-of-the-year gifts stuffed with candy or a holiday-specific pencil. The kids also like to make them for presents. My book is taped together after all of these years, but I continue to use it, creating different critters of ...

Extremely Useful-A MUST Have!
I teach 3 and 4 year olds in a preschool and I used this book for about 6 months before I decided I needed to own it. Mostly I use it at first during the year for ideas of how to introduce the kids to the letters and do simple activities. I read quite a bit to them as well and by the end of the school year they are able to do more complex activities from the book, which our pre-k teachers use ...

This book offers powerful wisdom, written in an easily understandable style. Great field guide to mushrooms for dyeing
This book does not give much information on how to dye with mushrooms, however, it is the absolute best field guide to mushrooms used for dyeing to date. Each mushroom is described in detail, with an accompanying color photograph and the colors that it yields. This book is a must have for mushroom dyers.
