Wow, what an improvement over the old atkins...
I just spent several hours reading this "all new" atkins program and I am truly impressed. The book emphasizes all the healthy reasons to do this program and holds your hand for 12 weeks. It has continual motivational tips and ideas to prevent back sliding and to achieve a long term healthy weight and lifestyle. As for a recent post who gave it 2 stars because of "bad" vegetable oils ...

Review the facts, pass the NCLEX-RN.
This review book is thinner than most, and that's the value of it. If you know what's in this book, you'll know the facts you need to pass the NCLEX-RN. It's a great summary of what we learned in nursing school, and the facts are presented in an easy-to-use format, with the most essential information boxed and accented. There is too much to know about nursing to put it all in one book; but, you ...

Pure Epic-ness!
While I firmly believe that the Prisoner of Azkaban is the true beginning of the series that is now known as the Harry Potter series, this is the novel that truly cements its grandeur. All of the characters begin to grow in this novel and Rowling seems to be truly growing as writer. She seems to have a firm grip on where this novel is going to go and she also seems less intimated about bringing ...

Lives Up To Its Reputation
The ur-text for today's wartime adventure novel, "For Whom The Bell Tolls" remains a standard bearer for pulse-pounding action fiction, and one of the true masterpieces by the most celebrated American author of his time. Robert Jordan is a Spanish-language instructor from Montana who, now in Spain, has a job of another kind: blow up a critical bridge under enemy control before his comrades, ...

I have working in marketing for years and have even dabbled in new marketing, social media and the like. After reading I have an entirely new focus around our day to day activities as well as our overall marketing strategy. I keep it on my desk and am constantly referring to it or the thousands ...

New to differentiation?
I found this book to be terrific! It answered all of my questions. I used the student survey with my 9th grade students and they loved it! I even use the matrix plans for every unit I teach. This book covers it all - placing students in groups (how to place students in groups using differentiation), tiering assignments, grading (is differentiation fair), classroom management (how do I manage ...

First Book of this kind I've read!!
Grabs you from the beginning and you can't put it down! I have since ordered the rest of the series! Shared the first one with my friend and she is pushing me to finish the next book in the series because she can't wait to get her hands on it. Never read this venue before but this is a great book! Escapism I call it. Just poor fiction and gets your mind of the troubles of today! If you need ...

Beyond Reach - a disappointment
I read some of the reader reviews that were favorable and decided to try this book. I initially found the writing somewhat awkward, but eventually the story became more interesting. Later in the book two of the main characters, Lena and Jeffrey, who were smart cops did very stupid things to set up a violent, not believable scenareo. I hated the ending!

Three of the Coolest Books Ever
These books are not going to win major awards and they aren't going to revolutionize the science fiction genre, but they are still three of the best books I've ever read, and I will always hold them dear to my heart because they were the books that led me to video gaming in general and, specifically, Halo. "Halo: Fall of Reach" is definitely the best of the three, describing the backstory of ...

More delving for truth, less bashing falsehood
Lots of people seem to know about Dawkins as a Enthusiastic Bright, or at least as a 'staunch atheist'. Selfish Gene takes digs at religion. Blind Watchmaker certainly takes digs at religion. Ancestor's Tale even seems to have some (though I've not got all through it yet.) I haven't even opened "The God Delusion" yet, and I can make a good guess about the digging I'll find there. The Extended ...

This book does excellent job of covering overall the subject comprehensively, with good illustrations and does not bog down into detail, or focus to the point of excessive respectivity. Is seems to me a good phy. ed. starter for any age experienced with reading.

This book is written well enough that at times you forget its a comedy. The characters are real and the situation is interesting. However, it is definitely a comedy and a good one as well. Its a short book and an easy read.

not too bad, but better A&P necessary
This study guide wasn't that bad, as the last review said. I took the hesi about 2 weeks after studying from this booklet and with old math notes from college level 1 algebra. I recieved an 85, which is good but i could have done better in the Anatomy and Phys. section- The study book does NOT go into great detail on the anatomy and phys section, i suggest reading up on that section in your local ...

I am VERY Happy with this Book - great 4 self-study
In order to take an advanced statistics course (since I have been out of college awhile) I have to take a calculus test. They gave me a sample of 60 questions from prior years and recomended a text that cost $180!!! Well for 1/15 of the price of the expensive text, I can get about 55 out of 60 questions answered through this one. The ones that are not covered in this book pertain to complex ...

Alan Roxburgh has finally pulled together all the pieces that he has been writing about and teaching for a number of years. He highlights the character required, the skills required, and the processes required, of pastors seeking to innovate toward the missionally-engaged congregation. There are far too many people ...

Ender series full review-one of the best-Great book for strategy
I have read the whole ender series, but with a strange sequence which may have affected the way I view the different books in the series. The first book I have read was the Shadow of the Hegemon, thanks to a tourist that had left it in the library of a hotel in Skiathos island. This book got me hooked, but it confused me also as I didn't know if I should start reading the next books or the ...

Great information for parents too!
My daughter's teacher loaned me this book after I shared with her my frustration over understanding "how" my daughter thinks and how to help her with her homework and life in general. If you don't have ADD you can't understand why things that seem perfectly logical to you make no sense what so ever to the person with ADD. I sat down thinking I would flip through and read a few passages...I've ...
