Great for beginning readers
My four-year-old daughter loves rebus stories. This little pack, contained in an easy-to-carry suitcase, is just right for her. These books have gone with us everywhere. My Daughters Love!! This
My two daughters (ages 2 and 4) request this book be read--at least once a day. It's a typical Dora the Explorer book with Boots. It has big words and colorful pictures. The stories are simple and not too long. I think it's probably geared toward the preschool/beginning grade school set.
Certain words have little "pictographs" with the word that it's for directly underneath it in smaller print. ...

Terrible binding
I have had 2 different copies of this book. With both of them the pages started to fall out within days. The binding on it is terrible. My 2 year old daughter loved the stories though! We read them over and over until the book fell apart.

An accurate and compelling little story
This book is beautifully drawn and simple, yet, effective in its storytelling. It doesn't portray Martin's family as being poor even though it doesn't mention that Martin's father is a minister. But that's not what the story's about. The point, I think, is to look at Martin Luther King, Jr. as an average little boy who's story is all too common of that era.
