Fun book, DELICIOUS recipe!
I borrowed this book from the library anticipating a fun but forgettable read, and was very pleased when the story and illustrations greatly exceeded my expectations. But never mind the story. While other reviewers have enthusiastically described this humorous tall tale, no one else seems to have tried the recipe. I'm here to tell you that IT'S DELICIOUS! The Whopper Cake has become our ...

Trust Me, You Don't Want To Miss This One!
This was by far my favorite book in the series. I read them out of order, which is something I always do but it did not matter. Each story stands on it's own. This story touched on all of my emotions, I cries, and I laughed out loud, I also admit to falling a little bit in love with Jesse the hero. Diamond is the first to leave Cradle Creek after her gambler father dies. She leaves after a ...

Wow! A must read! Very highly recommended
A Year of Living Dangerously reaches its breath-taking conclusion with the same author whom began this memorable series, Sharon Sala. In FAMILIAR STRANGER, Sala masterfully blends romance and danger in a daring combination sure to set the reader's interest aflame. When the brothers last met in Vietnam, Frankie shot younger brother David Wilson is an arms deal gone wrong. Despite his brother's ...

Bad Penny by Sharon Sala
Sharon Sala is a great story teller. Her books about Cat Dupree and the hunt for her father's killer and the man who slit her throat and left her for dead at thirteen leave you breathless with each book. Bad Penny is the end of the chase.

A great read!
I typically read at least one book per week. This book is the best I've read in over two years. I normally don't pick up western themed novels, but after watching several Earp movies recently I gave it a shot. I was not disappointed. I have recommended it to all my reading partners - and all have come back with similar experiences.

Great,, Great Book
I really liked this book. I usually spend 3 to 4 hours a day on the computer. The day I read this book, my computer was not turned on. That should show you how good it was. I loved the characters. Ms. Sala put romance, mystery and familly relationships into this book. As for the mystery, you knew early in the book who the culprit was, but that did not stop the book from being a good ...

Learning With Words and Pictures
This book is a combination of an incredibly meaningful story and a delightful series of illustrations to accompany the words. It will be a story to remember because of the simple beauty of a children's tale that combines a lesson of tolerance. The author and the illustrator must be congratulated for a work of brilliance in creating a setting for a happy learning experience.

This book kept me guessing until the end. In fact I smugly thought I had it figured out until the last chapter. Loved the intrigue, the sweet romance, and the painless history lesson!

Extraordinary
Like Sala, I have inexorably read personal Holocaust accounts, seeking parallels with the sufferings of my Second Mother, Masha Henley, a survivor who died with no heirs, whose relations were murdered, every last one. Our connection was through our birthday --- which made me her "kid." Masha's only live-born child was murdered before her eyes, his head smashed against a tree in the Vilna Ghetto. ...

Absolutely great romantic suspense anthology

A great supplementary study aid
This is a very helpful study aid for Spanish speakers at most levels. I consider it a study aid only because it uniquely covers grammatical points that are geared towards the Intermediate and Advanced speaker but it certainly does not go into depth and definitely does not cover any complex structures. I found it to be very practical, with clear and concise explanations and examples provided. It's ...

Changed My Life !
Bless My Soul is simply written for any audience. For anyone seeking spiritual insight to understanding any aspect of life, Ms. Salas has written a "text book" of explanations from a spiritual understanding. I like the books chapter evaluations at the end, reviewing highlights of that chapter. The book is insightful for anyone seeking answers to their "Why's". I highly recommend this book! She ...

Very enjoyable thriller
This book is a lot of fun and a good entry point if you haven't read Sala before. It has all of his usual subjects-secret societies, homicidal maniacs, spooky houses and clever, attractive female protagonists-but they're not taken to quite the grotesque extremes of the Chuckling Whatsit or the Grave Robbers Daughter. I hesitate to say it but it would probably be perfect for the Young ...

A romance that will keep you at the edge of your seat.
After the first few lines, you know Ms. Sala has written another romance for the record books. Angel Rojas first instinct told her to jump in and get out of the rain. If the driver was willing to give her a ride, why not? After getting in the car her second instinct told her she had made a big mistake. There was no way she would be able to leave the sight the handsome rancher Royal Justice ...

Americans who hate Castro should stop, look, and listen
Apart from the amazing photography, which captures an epoch so freqently only seen through CIA-filtered eyes, the book is a simple overview of the Cuban revolution and the real people of Cuba - not just the materialistic bourgouisie - who supported Castro and still do. Most enigmatic of all are the photos of Castro and Che, and then just Che, his magnetism shining through regardless of his ...

Heartwarming story
Colt is a disabled boy who suffers from spina bifida that makes him unable to get around without a wheelchair most of the time. He also suffers (in his opinion) from getting a new father after his biological dad left him and his mom when the disability was revealed by the doctors. Overall the story was well done; it made you relate to the main character without feeling sorry for him and really ...

LEADING-EDGE RESEARCH AND MULTIPLE VIEWS OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE.
The book's primary purposes are 1. to share leading edge research on the link between emotional intelligence (EI) and workplace performance and 2. to examine EI from a variety of vantage points, each with somewhat different ideas about EI. The key question the book addresses is: Does EI influence work performance? The book's contributions do not allow the reader to come to a simple ...

Outstanding apologetic for the accuracy of the Bible
Why You Can Have Confidence in the Bible by Harold J. Sala is a wonderfully written apologetic for the accuracy and authenticity of the Bible. Sala goes over familiar territory in several cases restating the archaeological discoveries that have proved many of the Biblical stories, but he writes in a matter of fact fashion that makes them both easy to understand and fresh in the reading. I was ...
