The Insiders' Guide to Becoming a Yacht Stewardess: Confessions from My Years Afloat with the Rich and Famous 6 reviews Julie Perry
Morgan James Publishing, 2006
GREAT BOOK This book is definitely for someone wanting to know what it is "really like" to work on a yacht. This book is funny, informative and a good source to find out what mega-yacht life is like, one you will go back and read a second time. Her adventures were delightful and am hoping Julie writes another book soon!

Grosset & Dunlap, 1947
Silver Wings for Any Girl Silver Wings for Vicki (The Vicki Barr Flight Stewardess series)The secret of Magnolia Manor (The Vicki Barr flight stewardess series, 4)Vicki finds the answer (The Vicki Barr flight stewardess series, 2)
My mother introduced me to Vicki Barr and Cherry Ames when I was young (thanks, Mum!), and I even preferred them to the Nancy Drew series, which I also read voraciously. In this first volume, ...

The Stewardess Is Flying the Plane! : American Films of the 1970s 3 reviews Ron Hogan, Peter Bogdanovich, 2005
Coffee Table or Serious Reading It's not just a coffee table book, though, if you're in the mood to flip through for fun when you can't find your reading glasses, it will certainly do- but it is a serious text about the why and who of this era or film- odd-ball details, quotes and special pages for the BIG stars (even Charlton Heston, who was a main crush of yours truly before I learned about his politics).
This is the kind ...

Stewardess: Come Fly with Me! 11 reviews Elissa Stein
Chronicle Books, 2006
Coffee, tea or milk... A very bland pictorial scrapbook of those jet-set ladies from the past. It could and should have looked much better than this haphazard collection of period company PR photos from the last few decades. There is no contents page, no captions to the photos or even page numbers to give a buyer any sense that this is any more than a quickie production which I expect will hit the mark-down section ...

Sex objects in the sky: A personal account of the stewardess rebellion 1 review Paula Kane
Follett Pub. Co, 1974
review book tells of stewardess highs and lows in the late 1960's. has all the glamour tales of the 1960's flight attendant, which is probably the reason for some entering this profession. a little outdated and extremely politically incorrect. a fun read. very camp.

What Every NEW Yacht Stewardess Should Know! 1 review Seatrust Yacht Services LLC
AuthorHouse, 2007
Don't buy this book! This book is the "lite" version of Julie Perry's book The Insiders' Guide to Becoming a Yacht Stewardess: Confessions from My Years Afloat with the Rich and Famous and simply not worth the money.

Stewardess 3 reviews Robert J. Serling
St Martins Pr, 1982
Longing for the old airlines! Having flown during the early 60's, with a major airline, I had the opportunity to fly with many "senior" stewardesses. Their stories were fascinating and paralled many parts of this book. These ladies, who started in the 40's and 50's, were instrumental in the success and growth of their airline. True, many didn't sleep their way to the top, but these pioneers faced the same situations as the ...

Birdie: The True Story of Delta's First In-Air Stewardess Kathryn Bankston
1st Books Library, 2002
"BIRDIE" is the true story of Birdie Bomar, Delta's spunky first in-air stewardess. Her 1930's hardships, the thrill of early flight, her hilarious wedding to Eastern pilot, Dick Bomar, and much more provide a delightful page-turner, a real "fun read".
