You really can't go wrong with SS! All the books and movies are wholesome and entertaining. I love reading them to my daughter and watching the movies with her. Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1TTRY7U6R935X In this video I take you through this classic children's book by reading you this short story much the same way I did for my son. Strawberry Shortcake Goes to School (Strawberry Shortcake)8 reviews
Emily Sollinger

Grosset & Dunlap, 2003

Perfect for your kids starting school or going back!
My little girl started Kindergarten this year and I bought this book to help encourage her to look past her shyness and fears of meeting new people. This book starts off with Strawberry being excited about meeting the kids in her class and also she has to decide what clothes she wants to wear. The pictures are colorful and very pretty. The book also goes through lunchtime, naptime, and ...

The First Strawberries (Picture Puffin)5 reviews
Joseph Bruchac, Anna Vojtech

Puffin, 1998

Get this book!
I love this book both for it's great story and because it is a terrific resource for teachers. It's one of those books (like Where the Wild Things Are or Runaway Bunny) that just grabs kids up and speaks directly to things they are deeply connected to. In this case: inequity, anger and how to deal with those feelings. If you are a teacher (or parent) and want a book that addresses these ...

Strawberry Fields6 reviews
Marina Lewycka

Penguin (Non-Classics), 2008

Strawberry Fields, another great novel by Lewycka
Following her success after the first novel, A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian, Lewycka treats her readers to yet another delightful story - this time about Eastern European immigrants picking strawberries, and then some. The plot draws you in, and the reader is kept continuously engaged as each of the characters - Andriy, Irina, Yola, Tomasz, Emanuel, Dog and others - narrates the story ...

The Grey Lady and the Strawberry Snatcher25 reviews

Aladdin, 1996

Heck, I like this book.
This is the first wordless book I bought for my son, and I must say that I am struck by the beauty of the illustrations. They're almost too pretty for a pre-schooler . . . . Without words, the illustrations tell an engaging and suspenseful story about a woman, her strawberries and a dark creature in hot pursuit. Wordless books are nice to have in a household like mine where Mom and Dad speak ...

The Strawberry Statement: Notes of a College Revolutionary8 reviews
James Simon Kunen

Wiley-Blackwell, 1995

A Personal Manifesto
Easily one of the most readable and personal accounts of the radicalization of American youth in the sixties. I read it when it was first published and it blew me away. I followed Kunen's career on through his work with the Liberation News Service and his life in a New England commune and he did a magnificent job of chronicling our times.

Joanne Fluke

Kensington, 2002

Great Reading!
I am so excited that I found this series! Joanne is a great writer and I have really enjoyed her wit and her recipes. The characters are and their interactions are believeable and enjoyable. I wish we could take a weekend jaunt to Lake Eden. This book was just as good as the first one! As a teacher, I know my peers will enjoy sampling the recipes listed in her books.
