Fabozzi is a genius
The examples provided break down every part of structured finance you need to know. Fabozzi must understand the importance of a strong foundation because he lays one out for you in every piece he writes. I have learned more from reading his work than studying finance at school. He takes concepts and applies them to the real world in a way we can understand. His method allows us to think up more ...

Unorthodox & Effective Training Method
At first I was a little thrown off by all the images and quips (I guess I'm used to boring, dry guides). After a while I was actually drawn into the book and how it guided me through learning SQL. I must admit that I had a somewhat rudimentary understanding of SQL but after completing the book my queries a sharper & more complex. I do want to put it out there; this isn't really a reference ...

Very Comprehensive
Wow! This book shows how to teach, REALLY teach, kindergarten students how to write. Too often, kindergartners are left to experiment with writing when what they actually need, and can handle, is ongoing, explicit instruction. The author covers every aspect of teaching writing - phonemic awareness, phonics, handwriting, pencil grasp, staying on topic, conventions, classroom management, struggling ...

Appropriate goals.
The goal of raising any child is to guide them into independance, and though many autistic children will never reach complete independance, it remains an important goal. Independance is an important factor in self-esteem and is essential for entering any portion of adult life. I was consistantly frustrated with therapy manuals which required my complete and undivided attention at all times. ...

Not for a true novice
I bought this book thinking I could learn SQL as a true novice. This book is not intended for a real beginner, but for developers/programmers that probably already know at least one language. For a real beginner's book see Forta's MYSQL Crash Course or Teach Yourself SQL. This book, Learning SQL, would probably be your next book.
