When People Are Big and God Is Small: Overcoming Peer Pressure, Codependency, and the Fear of Man (Resources ...24 reviews
Edward T. Welch

P & R Publishing, 1997

Psychology Done The Biblical Way
This book presents the regretful truth of fallen man. 'Therefore we cannot rightly say, 'My God is not a God of judgment and anger; my God is a God of love.' Such thinking makes it almost impossible to grow in the fear of the Lord. It suggests that sin only saddens God rather than offends Him.' pg 103 'There was a time in my own life when I would practice the presence of God; then, when I ...

RUSSIAN CYRILLIC KEYBOARD STICKERS WITH YELLOW LETTERING ON TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND (Russian Cyrillic ...3 reviews

4KEYBOARD.COM, 2000

Nice gadget for Russian speaker and Russian students.
I bought this for a Russian girl that wanted to be able to type in Cyrillic when chating and writing to family and friends back home. I also got a copy for me, because I want to learn some Russian. Both of us are very happy with these stickers. A little flaw is that the visibility of the keyboard is reduced when looking at a tilted angle, but that is no a deal breaker.

You Don't Have to Be Gay: Hope and Freedom for Males Struggling With Homosexuality or for Those Who Know of ...30 reviews
Jeff Konrad

Pacific Pub House, 1987

For the new struggler
Pastor Konrad's book, "You Don't Have To Be Gay" is one is read initially back in 1989 at Outpost Ministries. It was challenging to me then as I started out my journey out of homosexuality. Today, I like blessing brothers just starting their journey with copies of "You Don't Have To Be Gay" as a means to help them along in their journey! I highly recommend it for any man leaving the Gay ...

M Is for Malice (Kinsey Millhone Mysteries)79 reviews
Sue Grafton

Fawcett, 1997

One of the Best...
M is for Malice is one of the better books so far. Not only is there a compelling mystery, but we also get a visit from someone in Kinsey's past. I'm reading M, N and O in the three in one version, and there is a note from Sue Grafton about the time warp the character of Kinsey is caught in. I find myself wondering why Kinsey isn't using cell phones, computers, etc. and the author explains that ...

T is for Trespass (Kinsey Millhone Mysteries)194 reviews
Sue Grafton

Putnam Adult, 2007

Grafton Is Back!
I loved this newest tale in the Kinsey Millhone series. Like a lot of readers, I had begun to think Sue Grafton had run her course and couldn't come up with anything exciting and new. Trespass was a great read. I couldn't put it down. I sincerely hope the rest of the alphabet keeps pace.

Rich Dad's Prophecy: Why the Biggest Stock Market Crash in History Is Still Coming... and How You Can Prepare ...114 reviews
Robert T. Kiyosaki, Sharon L. Lechter

Warner Business Books, 2002

A little light on advice
Kiyosaki does a great job explaining the decline to come. Par for the course, the author is less than clear with his advice. If you have not read "The Second Great Depression" or other books like it I do highly recommend this volume. However, your money may be better spent on a more technical manual on how to profit during a declining market.

The Team That Couldn't Lose
I got this book for my 9 year old grandson who happens to be dyslexic but is also an absolute fanatic about football! He is reading it and loving it! I am THRILLED to have found these books that are so enticing they will make even a struggling reader want to read them. Thank YOU , Matt Christopher, for understanding what will motivate a young boy to read!

The Spiritual Wisdom of the Gospels for Christian Preachers and Teachers: On Earth as It Is in Heaven - Year A1 review
John Shea

Liturgical Press, 2004

A Good Pump Primer for Preaching
This is my second year using a Sunday Lectionary commnetary from John Shea. Series C was good, so I'll be working with him as I preach this year through Series A. What is good about this series is that it does some insightful, but not exhaustive, comments on the Sunday reading. Then Shea adds to his commnetary with a section he calls "Teaching." Sometimes his "teaching" goes to places where I ...

He Is My Shepherd: The 23rd Psalm for Children2 reviews
Helen Haidle

Multnomah Books, 1989

Wonderful teaching resource
This book is illustratively appealing and provides an age appropriate life application of the word of God. Although the illustration was geared toward the younger ages, I feel it is universally useful for teaching the meaning of the 23rd Psalm.

Got 10X the Cost of Book in FREE Advertising in 48 hours!
I have to admit, while I've read reviews that made incredible claims about the results people have experienced in short periods of time, I'd never had that experience myself...until now. Less than 48 hours after having received my book, I had used just one of the many methods to get over $300 worth of FREE advertising. Is this a fluke? Hardly. Because of the win/win situation this method ...

A Is for Art: An Abstract Alphabet25 reviews
Stephen T. Johnson

Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books, 2008

Kids and adults alike will love this book
This is just a broad spectrum book. Kids will enjoy the game of finding the letters, and, I have to admit, as an adult I DID enjoy looking for the letters as well. Don't tell anyone. And, the artwork is creative and captivating. Everyday objects are given a new assignments in life in this book. I'll try not to be a spoiler, I've probably given away too much information already. I must have ...

T is for Teachers: A School Alphabet2 reviews
Steven L. Layne, Deborah Dover Layne, ...

Sleeping Bear Press, 2005

Good Book for Teaching About Things in School
I like this book because it allowed me to introduce items and topics in school to my ESOL class. Students should know words such as custodian, secretary, principal, etc. It allows them to understand the school system around them a bit better. This book would be good for younger students too. I used the book with middle school ESOL students.

L Is for Lawless (Kinsey Millhone Mysteries)50 reviews
Sue Grafton

Fawcett, 1996

Totally Enjoyable....
I thought K is for Killer was good, then I read L is for Lawless. Kinsey proves that no good deed goes unpunished. She simply tries to help a friend and of course soon she is in deep and sinking. And, as an extra feature, Henry's siblings are in town for William and Rosie's wedding. Kinsey may yet even make some progress on her newly discovered extended family.
