INFORMATIVE
I always enjoy listening to Dr. Kabat-Zinn. This CD presents a a very good reason to try mindful meditation. Kabat-Zinn has a very pleasing voice with easy concepts to relate to. If you are looking for actual meditations this is not the CD for you, but he definitely gives you a good place to start the practice of meditation with the breath. Highly recommend.

Excellent, Timeless Advice
This book is chock full of practical, common sense advice. Want people to like you? Show you like THEM, smile, be honestly happy to see them, remember their names, be interested in them, listen to them, etc. Want to influence them? Don't argue or tell them they are wrong (even if they are), but honestly emphasize where they are right, compliment them, and start with your areas of agreement. ...

Good introductory biology text
This is a great text for anyone taking an introductory college-level biology course. The writing style is simple and easy to understand, unlike many other science textbooks. Despite being very easy to read, it contains a good amount of information.

Must have
Of all the guitar books I own, this is the one I will complete. The licks are right out of the blues scale, but take tasteful, unexpected turns. I always start a practice session going over this book to make sure what I have learned stays in rotation. Glad to own it.

Great Product
This is a great product, I've been listening to this in my car almost everywhere I go. It keeps you refreshed on the multitude of topics presented on the MCAT, while the cheesy/corny jokes keep the perspective lite in contrast to other preps available.

Understanding Health Care, or trying to....
"Hospital" is an excellent discussion of contemporary health care and the multiplicity of competing needs that must be addressed if there is any hope of the system being effective. Because of its size and cultural diversity, Maimonides Medical Center provides a microcosm of what is good and not so good about the way this country provides both care and treatment. There is no simple, inexpensive ...

Lessons for Living
Eckhart Tolle's acclaimed book "The Power of Now" has many powerful lessons for living. It's a transformational tool to help us shift our consciousness and a signpost for awakening. The life lessons that were the most helpful to me included: The answer to the human dilemma cannot be found through the intellect but through consciousness (awareness) and our response to what happens. ...

Becoming acquainted with this book at this time in my life has become a true lifesaver for me. It has truly taught me to reflect on the way I think and how it has affected my health and general well-being. For the first time in many years, I've found that changing my way of thinking has brought me peace of mind, as well as release from a lot of the pain I have experienced. I now believe so much ...

Personal Freedom
This book is very well written and easy to understand. It is a quick read, and I will reread it often to keep the material fresh. The message is simple, yet very profound. It truly opened my eyes and my heart to an awareness that had made a huge difference in the way I treat myself. Most of us don't realize how we are silently killing our own souls by the way we think; this book helped me to ...

Is it good? Of Courssssse!
No matter who you want to talk about in the self improvement/motivation game, Jack Canfield, Zig Zigler, Andy Andrews, Brian Tracy, Anthony Robbins, Dale Carnegie, Stephen Covey, you name it, the message is pretty much the same. That is, some derivative of the timeless lessons of Napoleon Hill. The only real difference to speak of is in the delivery. The better the speaker delivers his message, ...

My daughter had the earlier addition of this book and I was impressed with the information provided. I think the author tries to give a factual summary of each product in an unbiased and fair manner. I am a Clinical Psychologist, and have listened to many CDs. I am one of those who has never been able to stay awake to hear the end (or even the middle) of this very relaxing CD. Sweet, sad, and yet full of joy
I almost didn't read this book, despite the praise two people whose tastes I trusted gave it. For some reason I didn't think I would appreciate it since I'm not nearly as into music as I was when I was younger. I quickly found that it didn't matter. Sheffield's loving, yet never sappy or melancholy, descriptions of Renee - and his life and love with her - drew me in. Hell, I almost found myself ...
