The Digital Photography Book 675 reviews Scott Kelby
Peachpit Press, 2006
Great Beginning Book for Photographers I already had this book and really enjoyed it. When my granddaughter became interested in photography I thought she would get a lot out of it. When I found out that she was getting a new digital camera for Christmas I decided to order this book as an addition to her presents from us. At last report she was reading the book completely and liked it a lot.

A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge: (Pmbok Guide) 42 reviews
Project Management Institute, 2008
The PMBOK is to Project Management, as a Dictionary is to English 1. If you are a new project manager or are studying for the PMP, look at another book or take a class on how to successfully manage a project. This is NOT a "how-to" book.
Now that's out of the way...
The PMBOK is an excellent reference of what is in project management. It is similar to a dictionary. Don't expect that by reading a dictionary, you will be able to put together a novel or ...

Understanding Exposure: How to Shoot Great Photographs with a Film or Digital Camera (Updated Edition) 731 reviews Bryan Peterson
Amphoto Books, 2004
Just What I Needed I purchased this book based on the other reviews I had read. I'm quite the "newbie" at a DSLR camera and hoped this book would help me understand the mechanics of photography and my camera. It did both -- and in a very easy to understand way. I see it as being a continual reference also as it is quite comprehensive.
After I had already ordered the book I visited our local library which had a ...

Exposure Digital Field Guide 6 reviews Alan Hess
Wiley, 2009
highly recommend! I am professional commercial/fine art photographer, and OH how I wish I had this little gem back when I was starting out. It's got a recipe for everything! That makes getting great shots very simple, way before needing to learn the "theory" behind the settings. My favorite part was Alan's explanations of the LOGIC, that is questions to ask yourself...the order of decisions one must consider ...

Compostion lessons, both subtle and direct People with digital cameras spend a lot of time learning how to use all the technology tools - notably Photoshop. First, Break All the Rules: What the World's Greatest Managers Do Differently 276 reviews Marcus Buckingham, Curt Coffman
Simon & Schuster, 1999
Eye-opening for both corporate and nonprofit leaders Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman present some rather remarkable findings on how to hire, motivate, and promote the best people for any line of work, from housekeeping to software design. I certainly hope every leader of an organization, either corporate or nonprofit, will take a look inside and apply some of these practices. Although the authors make every case for why these somewhat ...
