This book is Awesome!
I just finished reading this book and I have read all the books before it, this is just as good as the rest. Most books don't keep my interest but these did. The Tillermans never give up they go after what they want and don't care what others say. I reccomend this book for any one, but I do think it would be helpful to read Homecoming, Dicey's Song, and A Solitary Blue before this one.

The Runner (The Tillerman Series #4)2 reviews

Why we are how we are
This novel (a prequel to Homecoming) may be one of the very best revelations of why it is that so many gifted young people simply cannot see beyond their (mostly imagined) limitations and end up so badly. Although the central character, Bullet, is not very sympathetic at the beginning of the novel, painfully he changes and engages the reader. Yet, in spite of his gained insights and his talents ...

The last thing she told him was that his father was a difficult man, and that he must do everything in his power not to disturb or upset him. Little Jeff took his mother's words seriously. As he grew, Jeff became increasingly distant from his father, never even calling him "Dad" but "Professor," just ...

Seventeen Against the Dealer (The Tillerman Series #7)14 reviews
Cynthia Voigt

Simon Pulse, 2002

Another Winner
Cynthia Voigt created a bestselling series with the Tillerman family that began with "Homecoming" and ended with this book "Seventeen against The Dealer." Voigt's talented use of action and realistic dialogue to move the story along keeps readers turning the pages and longing for more. I became a Dicey fan early on for her courage and her spunk. Dicey, the whole Tillerman clan make excellent role ...

Homecoming (The Tillerman Series #1)320 reviews

Heartbreaking and Heartwarming Realism
This book is written for young adults, but I recently read it again as a mother. Now that I have those fiercely protective instincts for my children, the story seems even more heartbreaking. Darcy is exactly the kind of heroine I like: insightful, resourceful, determined, and sympathetic--a child shouldering an adult's responsibilities and doing so with aplomb.

Homecoming (Tillerman Saga)7 reviews
Cynthia Voigt

Topeka Bindery, 2002

Words fail
Homecoming is the start of a series that chronicles the world of a girl named Dicey. It's a story that you sink into and can't escape. By the time it's over, you may need a day or two to emotionally recover yourself. Some readers may have some difficulty with it, as Voight tends to narrow in on small details. That only makes the story longer, but it also makes for a more breathable world. ...
