Finally, a non-diet diet that works for vegetarians!
Let me preface the following by stating that I've never been a "dieter", I've always just tried to eat as healthy as I can. And, as a life-long vegetarian I'd never really been able to participate in most fad-diets anyway (I need my carbs!). But, I'd noticed over the past year that even though I work out pretty consistently, my metabolism was changing and I had dramatic drops in blood sugar that ...

A fantastic book
A fantastic book! This book has been my default purchase for people that are going through tough times, or people that are at a point of change in their lives (or should be). It is free of the "you-can-do-it-all" fluffiness. It brings a real, truthful and deep approach to life. This is the kind of book that you not only read the words, but the spaces between the words. Great, great stuff. ...

Favorite potty training book!
I recently ordered several potty training books for my 22-month old daughter. This is by far her favorite! The rhyming quality of the book and the pictures are great. She loves the story so much she can almost recite it herself as we read!

Teachers, This is a must for your classroom this year.
Since Disney is planning to have this book come out as a movie in December, it is the perfect time to read this book in class. Then the class could go on a field trip to see the movie for a Christmas treat. I love how the book talks to the "reader" and teaches vocabulary while telling the story. Great for schools.

Entertaining
I bought this book for my daughter when she was 2 years old and she loved it! I had read it as a child and thought she might enjoy it. The names are tricky, but the kids find it entertaining watching these boys get into such trouble.

Non-stop reading
Marisa de los Santos' writes in a scattered manner so easy to follow. Although she made the main character thin, pretty, and smart- she was just weird enough to be likeable. Clair's point of view is thrilling. The ending was a little 'sicky-sweet'... but the writing made up for it. I am looking forward to the next!

Just wonderful
Wow-really good book!! On a side note, would have prefered the Bible references at the point of reference ( eg Psalm 23:1 and not '2' so as to prevent the need to continually turn to the back of the book. I am at day 12 and I am really impressed at how applicable this book is to my life. Again, I wonderful read

Best Buddhism book for westerners and beginners
If you are unfamiliar with Buddhism, then this book is a good place to start. Also, if you believe fully in the scientific method, as I do, but are interested in Buddhism, then again, this is probably the best place to start. Instead of overwhelming you with a bunch of Buddhist lingo and ideas as some books do, this book is very gentle in introducing Buddhist ideas and philosophy. Written ...

Excellent Resource
This book is wonderful! I had been using it at the SAT prep center where I work and finally broke down and bought my own copy. I use everything in it...the grammar review exercises, the sample essays with scoring, the practice tests. The questions are challenging and follow the SAT format closely. My students have never had complaints about the work from this book. The answer explanations are ...

men can read this too
At first, I never wanted to pick this up. It had its deterrents: the cover with its colorful depiction of strong-willed women, the concise summarization on the opposite side of the cover, making it seem like a sweeping love affair, something Fabio might pose for, and the dedication of the book. The dedication reads "To my mother, my grandmother, and all the other extraordinary women of this ...

Watch Out For the Todal, by Rory Haglund
Watch out for the Todal James Thurber's The Thirteen Clocks is a delightful tale for people of all ages. I was first introduced to this seemingly conventional story at age five when my father read it to me as a pleasant bedtime story. It was not until I could read for myself that I began to notice what sets this story apart from so many other children's stories--its characters and great ...

Hale/Hale the gang's all here
A popular novelist may be prone to looking at the whole of their oeuvre. They consider their past works, look to the future, and decide to write a graphic novel. What makes them do this? Is it the potential to reach whole new audiences? Is it the accessibility of the format? The trendiness of it all? Or it is something else? Could it be that graphic novels are the wave of the future? Could be. ...

Great Read!
This book was good. If you love chocolate, you'll love this book. We liked the characters, especially Charlie. Boy or girl, you'll love this book. If you don't buy it, you're crazy. After you finish it, try Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. It has a lot of suspense. Roald Dahl puts a lot of description in his writing.

Fabulous study guide!
I used this book to prepare for the AP Psychology exam and was thrilled! I had never taken a psychology course before and thought it would be challenging to try to succeed on the exam to earn college credit. It was easy to read and the practice test questions were extremely similar to those on the actual exam. I was excited to hear that I received a 5 on my exam... and the only aid I used was ...

Barron Test Preparation
I have prepared students for the PSAT, SAT, ACT and have used Barron preparation all the way back to the 1980s. I use various other manuals and software, but my students tell me that the Barron is the quality preparation they need. Talk about out of the frying pan, into the fire! I was pretty sure that my freaky stepsister and that freaky field guide of hers would ruin my life. But now it looks like they're going to ruin all of Florida, too! Okay, maybe that's not fair. Maybe all these stupid giants would be waking up anyway, but if it wasn't for her and that book, I'd be home playing video games and this would be someone else's giant problem!
