Tuesdays with Morrie: An Old Man, a Young Man, and Life's Greatest Lesson 2111 reviews Mitch Albom
Doubleday, 1997
A heartfelt reminder of the important things in life. After reading so many spectacular reviews, I decided to give this book a whirl myself, and I'm so thankful I did. First of all, I hate to read. Well, let me rephrase that. I USED to hate to read. Doing so much reading in college leaves me with little energy outside of schoolwork to read, but I quickly polished this book off in two sessions.
This book grabs you almost immediately and reels you ...

Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left, From Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning 315 reviews Jonah Goldberg
Doubleday, 2008
Great Book As Evidenced by Liberal Reviews & Placement Plainly this book has been out for quite some time but until it showed up on audio I didn't even know it existed. Why? Because it was well hidden by the major book stores that typically hide anything conservative on the bottom shelf of some sociology section in the back of the store. If this were a fascist-liberal tome like Al Frankens "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot", there would have been ...

He's Just Not That Into You: The No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys 819 reviews Greg Behrendt, Liz Tuccillo
Simon Spotlight Entertainment, 2004
Very Empowering! This book is great. Bought it after getting dumped. I'd read a little everytime I started to feel a little down. It would even make me laugh sometimes. It was amazing how so much of it did apply to situations I had been in. It helped to realize that I am worth more and deserve to have someone that really is into me.
I'm definitely keeping this book as a reference on future relationships.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (P.S.) 546 reviews Betty Smith
Harper Perennial Modern Classics, 2006
A Wowing Historical Fiction Classic I am in total awe after reading this book. In the beginning I thought it was going to be a boring and long novel. But throughout my reading I became to grow more attached to the story. The main character Francie was an intriguing and delightful creation that anyone would want as their best friend, should she not be a fictional person. I enjoyed reading how the poor family made ends meet and ...

Everyone Worth Knowing 191 reviews Lauren Weisberger
Pocket, 2006
A Book Worth Reading... This was definitely just a fun book to read. I didn't want to put it down because I was anxious to see what happened next. The only thing I was sad about was that it ended! Bette has to go from one extreme to the other with her job to really find out a little more about who she is and what she wants to do. As a person who is in her twenties, I definitely related to this. If you want a light, ...

The Lexus and the Olive Tree This book provides a very good understanding of globilisation by integrating various issues and concepts with critical, illustrative and at times poignant examples. If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans 359 reviews Ann Coulter
Crown Forum, 2007
I loved it ;o) This was my first Ann Coulter book. Since many people said that it contains many thoughts of her old material, I figured it would be a great book to start with. I also had this wild idea that hearing her voice in the CD version might give it some extra power. Ann had me laughing very hard and....she made me think about a few things too. I couldn't turn it off; I really got into it. ;o)

Great kids' adventure series OK, I'm not reviewing this for myself, although I do enjoy the concept and the stories, but for my (nearly) six year old grandson. He simply adores this series by Mary Pope Osborne...except...at the start of each adventure, when the tree house moves and then stops...when it says..."then everything was still...absolutely still"...anyone remember Abbott and Costello's "slowly I turn, step by ...

Thrilling I didn't think I'd care for this book; I saw the movie when it came out in 1993 and liked it well enough. No big deal for me.
But the book is GINORMOUSLY better than the movie. It is an absolute thriller. You won't be able to put it down.
