Undercurrents 1 review Traci Hunter Abramson
Covenant Communications, 2004
Fun read, thoughtful, and exciting I really quite enjoyed this book and found it difficult to put down. The author has a pleasant writing style, keeps a fairly fast pace, and writes interesting characters. The story is even inspiration at moments. If you enjoy Kerry Blair's books, you'll really like this (it's better).

Undercurrent 3 reviews Bill Pronzini
Backcountry Pubns, 1984
Unraveling Lies on the Monterey Peninsula In 1971, author Bill Pronzini was only 27 when he wrote The Snatch, building on a shorter and different version of the story that appeared in the May 1969 issue of Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine under the same title. With the publication of this book, one of detective fiction's great characters was born with full fledged power and authenticity. If you have not yet read the Nameless Detective ...

Undercurrents: A Haunted Detective. A Shadowy Killer. And A City Drowning In A Tide Of Fear. (Lou Boldt ... 23 reviews Ridley Pearson
St. Martin's Paperbacks, 1992
Undercurrents is Over the Top This has to be one of the best suspense novels I have ever read. I was up into the early morning hours reading this one. Lou Boldt is a detective in the Seattle area. He is hunting a serial killer. They thought they had him at one point and even brought him into court. He was shot by one of the victims fathers. But it turns out it wasn't him. Lou is getting really stressed trying to figure ...

Undercurrents: The Hidden Wiring of Modern Music 2 reviews
Continuum International Publishing Group, 2003
A key book on contemporary music This is a wonderful book, written by some of the best and smartest writers on contemporary music. It takes up and connects musical practices from free jazz, classic electronic music, and sound poetry to HipHop turntablism, electro-funk, and experimental rock; and it does so in sparkling prose that's eminently readable. If you want a glimpse of what is truly vital in the music of the 20th and ...

Undercurrents 8 reviews Frances Fyfield
Penguin (Non-Classics), 2002
The editorial reviews know best! This book is way, way better than the readers' reviews here suggest. It is beatifully written with unique characters, rich and captivating atmosphere, striking observations, and some moments that make you laugh out loud. I did figure out the mystery partway through but had to keep reading to be sure, and there was one big surprise I never saw coming at the end. The beginning is mezmerizing and ...

Undercurrents: A Life Beneath the Surface 49 reviews Martha Manning
HarperOne, 1995
Crucibles and Grace This is one of the better memoirs of depression yet written because the hellish is brushed with a bit of the kind of humor that makes us wince with awe. Wince with awe? I mean that Doctor Manning is a heroic figure because she is an ordinary figure thrust unwillingly onto the terrain of nightmares.
There are times Doctor Manning almost pleads her own badness and I find that this kind of ...

Undercurrents 1 review Kevin Lee
Heretic Books, 1994
A surprisingly rich confection of many sweet ingredients. This book was truly a surprise. I had expected it to be slightly second-rate, but was very pleasantly surprised. This softcover album contains some sixty or so B&W photographs of very pleasing models, mostly nude but some not so. The quality of the photography is excellent, the models mostly great; indeed some of the models are extremely cute. The settings for the photographs seem natural and not ...

Undercurrents 2 reviews Stella Cameron
Mira, 1999
Great Book! I am a longtime fan of Stella Cameron, and Undercurrents is up there with her best. Susan Ackroyd and Mike Kinnear are both real and irresistible characters that I rooted for throughout the entire story. The plot has Cameron's usual intricate texture with a cast of characters ranging from quirky and likable to slimy and hateful. Set mostly in Washington's San Juan Islands, there is a real feel ...
